a bit of context:
so often i have been accused to be a " whiny B***h " that only complains 24/7. the point is, i don’t argue if i don’t have solutions, which today, i’m here to show just about that.
keep in mind that this thread starts from my personal opinion and the actual intent is to improve the lone fighter gamemode. any thoughts, suggestions, or if you think i missed something, let’s argue about it.
and before you’ll comment with " lone fighter pointless " or, " lone fighter dead lmao " or even, " you shouldn’t play this game if you are only here for cod " you are all right. no shame behind that. but i think that if it’s present, it’s because people actually plays it. and therefore considerable as content that needs works. ( P.S. no, i don’t think that Lone fighter is the main priority of this game )
enough, let’s cover the main aspects:
What Do i Think of Lone Fighter In General:
well, i’ll start by saying that Lonefighter is not the main core of the game. because i do recognize the work putted behind bots and how much expencive they have been. plus the main idea of bots it’s exiting. anyway, despite me prefering the squad game mode, i don’t lie that i play quite often the lone wolf gamemode. and i do recognize that there are folks out there that plays lone fighter as well. above all, they might not like bots. which it’s up to them.
and for how many issues lone fighter had, with the new hardcore gamemode more has been brought upon it.
The Good Aspects of Lone Fighter ( from now on, i’ll call it LF because otherwise i’ll become repetitive)
the good aspects of LF are:

the lack of bots ( for someone ) and for me, the lack of " chaos ". sometimes it’s fun just making a match on LF relatively quiet and don’t have to worry about 18 soldiers coming in my way. but again, those are just my opinions.

sometimes, it can get a bit more competitive and more skill based. which, not a huge fan of competitive, but it has it’s moment of glory and fun, and therefore sometimes can be interetring.

booster experience soldier’s veterancy, those are very usefull and rewarding for the effort.

New Hardcore Mode: it’s just incredible. no hud, feels alot more immersive, especially in berlin when crossing block houses. and others maps as well. you don’t know if you killed someone or he was just downed. no hitmarkers, and above all, promotes caution and carefull gameplay. so tanks must play really good, attackers must be weary of every corners, planes must be precise and effective , all that type of stuff that is very awelcomed from me.
the bad aspects of LF:
now, its that time where i start to whin- just kidding. as i said, i’ll adress the main issues, and later, i’ll adress each single one of those with possible solutions and resolutions:

old LF gamemode.
as i said in my feedback about the update, i can understand that you, ( developers and folks that make decisions ) are worried about splitting the playerbase, which it’s somewhat understandable. but the issue is, people that played the old LF it was of the above mentioned reasons. as such, playing a squad game but with smaller numbers. and not everyone like playing Hardcore ( from what i can read in the forum ). -
Tk System:
the TK system it’s… not ideal. especially because it gets problematic everytime. i do like it, the main concept, but it’s far from being pratical.
everyone can just tk on purpouse ( like happened to me in this scenario: And here kids, is why you don't and should not give the ability to everyone to get acess the hardcore and tk left and right ) and no one could have prevented that.
second of all, not everyone has a trigger discipline. so the majority of casualties as far as i can see, are from friendlys.
third issue that comes with it, if i lay down a mine, i get kicked from the match because some friendly ignited the mine accidetally and i don’t blain him/them for not watching the road. but on the other hand, whoever placed the mine gets kicked out of the match. same it happens with tanks, planes ( which eventually, promotes the trigger discipline and be carefull on what you shoot at ) but since it’s a free to play, and it’s one of the gamemode that it’s played due to the old LF getting removed, everyone can cause issues no matter what. -
compass location:
weather you disabled the HUD, it’s ok but the position in the lower right it’s not very usefull and very hard to look at it when engaging. -
no textual chat
this one, i don’t know why it has been disabled, but how are players supposed to communicate with each other? make tactics, and ask for ammonutions? -
Tank Issues
there aren’t really any issues with it, but the problem comes when you get hit.
due to the lack of HUD ( which again, it’s complealty fine ) how am i supposed to know the current state of my vehicle, and how many crew members i have lost?

as said before, now it’s time to adress those issues with proper solutions:
Old LF gamemode:
in my personal opinion, and opinions of others, the old LF gamemode, and the new Hardcore gamemode should be separate. because not everyone likes playing Hardcore, much like not everyone likes playing the bland lone fighter. so that’s why those should be added as different gamemodes. and lock the Hardcore at level 10 or somewhere near, so that only players that progress a bit further and understand how the game works can play it. ( so that we can get rid of trolls for the majority )
TK System:
this system, to begin with, should be either removed, or reworked.
i can’t suggest anything outside one suggestion that i watched and really liked:
( Add "forgive" option to LF teamkill )
which should be added ASAP: (and here i’ll quote)
because again, mistakes do happens and will most likely happen despite being carefull enough. as such, a system to actually forgive those mistakes should be included.
( just a note, a game called Ro2 that it’s quite old had a feature similar like that, i’m sure you can figure out something simiar )
Compass Location:
this one, just like has been suggested in the ALPHA;
put it in the middle screen instead of the lower right…
Textual Chat
just bring it back. otherwise it’s next to impossible to cordinate with the team.
Tank Issues
about tank issues, i would say that considering that we don’t have internals avaialbe and those could actually be more expencive, i suggest to add voice lines.
the first being like war thunder:
if i lose the commander/driver/gunner/loader, a voice line will start speaking. noticing the player by audio that someone is dead.
the same above but for tank’s components as well. and only when taken ‘for good’ ( like, black tracks, black gun, or anything that is out of action. such as, gun, ( turett ring, elevation, rotation ) tracks, fuel cans, the vehicle is on fire, and lastly, transmition.
like, we have voice lines when the roof mg is cooling down, i don’t see why we can’t have those for the rest.
In Conclusion:
that’s everything from me. if you feel like i missed something ( like airplanes, but i’m not going to adress them because in my opinion those are fine. like you have to aim properly instead of the point and actually Tk someone )
