For rifles there is also Bommarito Semi-Automatic Rifle but it was designed by an Italian immigrant in USA and was tested there so I dont think its a good idea to give it to AXIS

we can always give it to an Italian squad on the other side
a squad from the coobeligerant army of the southern kingdom would be a nice addition
( the uniform requires minimal changes from the English ones already present in the game )

You misunderstood my point/question. The one you claim to be a 6rnd internal mag is actually the FIAT/Revelli magazine that holds five 5rnd magazines and cycles them into the gun with a special mechanism like its shown in this video:

The Genar PM-470

The Giandoso (or Genar) PM-470 was a simple blowback-operated SMG produced in the last months of the war in Italy. It was developed as a cheaper alternative to the expensive but reliable Beretta Model 38. The Genar SMG was unsophisticated, with little extravagance and operating on a basic straight-blowback action in the 9mm caliber. However, it did have some unusual features, notably a push safety mechanism on the pistol grip - it was probably the very first SMG to employ this feature. The barrel at first glance appears to be finned, but was actually coiled by a large spring, which served no real purpose. Standard 20, 30, or 40-round Beretta magazines were used.

Only about 250 PM-470 submachine guns were turned out and issued to fascist troops before the factory that manufactured it was captured by Italian partisans. After the war, however, there were attempts to revive the design in several variations for export sale, to little success.(600 RPM)(20/30/40 Mag)

The Cei-Rigotti also known as the Cei gas rifle is an early selective-fire rifle created in the final years of the 19th century by Amerigo Cei-Rigotti, an officer in the Royal Italian Army. Although the rifle was never officially adopted by any military, it was tested extensively by the Italian Army during the lead-up to the First World War.
Also, this weapon had magazine sizes of 6, 10,20,25, and 30 with supposedly a 50 drum also the fact is magazine is fixed which means you have to load it with strip clips.

Armaguerra OG 44

with stuck and without which one the devs choose The OG guns fed from standard Beretta magazines, usually containing 25, 30, or 40 rounds. For all variations of the OG design, the entire body was constructed from stamped sheet metal components to cut down the production costs, and the barrel housing was perforated with cooling holes. The OG-42 was fitted with an over-folding stock, similar to that of the German MP 40, and also made use of a hinged wooden fore-grip attachment near the muzzle. This feature was dropped in the OG-44.

Variara submachine gun

The Variara was produced covertly in Biella for use by left-wing Italian partisans, who were engaged in a guerrilla war against both Mussolini’s government and the German occupying forces. Production began in 1943 and lasted until the end of the war in 1945. It is not known exactly how many of these weapons were made during that time, and few still exist today

The Modello Albertini was an Italian submachine gun produced during World War II by Isotta Fraschini

The weapon accepts 25- or 32-round MP 38 and 40 magazines and has an underfolding wireframe shoulder stock. A selector switch is located at the right side of the weapon, allowing the weapon to switch between semi-automatic and fully-automatic fire

60mm Lanciabombe

The Italian 60mm Lanciabombe was an experimental design for an infantry portable, shoulder-fired anti-tank gun. The weapon was based on a bolt-action rifle. When fired, a blank cartridge in the breach would propel the shaped-charge bomblet out of the barrel. It was able to penetrate up to 70mm of armor.

The project was worked on between 1943 and 1945, but only one prototype was ever built

The Armaguerra Mod. 35 was a blowback-operated submachine gun. It had no select-fire capability and fired exclusively in full-auto. The weapon feeds from detachable box magazines feeding from a magazine well located on the right of the weapon.

It’s a prototype semi-auto carbine made by the Italian Terni arsenal in 1921. The cartridge was an experimental 7.35x32mm using the 6.5x55 base dimensions propelling a 8.71 gram bullet to 600 m/s (135 gr at 2000 fps). This gun competed in an Italian trial in May 1923, alongside a 6.5mm carbine and three 9mm Glesenti submachine gun designs. The Terni rifle was the only favored design and was further developed in 1928, but never went beyond the prototype stage.(The rifle in this picture is a semi-auto prototype, but selective-fire models were actually made. and Amazingly, a few of these guns have actually recently been discovered in Ethiopia, so they must have been issued to a limited extent during the Italo-Ethiopian War of 1935. They were made in semi-automatic and selective-fire variations.)(7.35x32mm which I guess is kind of intermediate cartilage so if we ever get select-fire version of this it would be considered an AR also 25-round “strip feed” box magazine

The Scotti Naval Model was developed in the early 1930s. It was proposed to the Italian Navy as a potential anti-aircraft weapon for sailors, specifically for targeting low-flying planes that posed a threat to patrol boats. After undergoing brief evaluation, the Scotti Naval rifle was not adopted and development of the weapon ceased. Only a few prototypes were made.

Maefassi gas-operated conversion of the Mannlicher M.95(8x56mmR)

An Italian officer, Carlos Maefassi, designed this gas-operated, self-loading conversion of the Mannlicher M.95 rifle, while he was stationed in Ethiopia in the late 1930s. The conversion operates on a basic underbarreled gas piston with a long rack to allow the straight-pull bolt to reciprocate. A pistol grip was added to the stock. The Maefassi conversion was tested in about 1940 but never advanced beyond a prototype.

Genoves-revelli semi auto rifle

The Italian Army in the late 19th and early 20th century was experimenting with new forms of warfare; they were among the first to utilize aircraft and armoured cars in battle. In the early 1900s they made tests of several self-loading rifles, including the selective-fire Cei-Rigotti, the Freddi, and the Ricci. In particular, there was a desire to equip the Bersaglieri , Italy’s mobile cyclist infantry, with an automatic infantry rifle to compensate for the fact that machine-guns were too heavy for them to effectively transport.
In response to this, a self-loading, recoil-operated conversion of the standard Carcano 6.5mm rifle was patented by Filippo Genovesi in 1905. This rifle operated on a rotating bolt with a series of locking lugs around the bolt head. The design was further refined at the Terni National Rifle Factory under the direction of Col. Abiel Revelli, who was responsible for most of the Italian Army’s automatic weapons including the Glisenti pistol, FIAT-Revelli machine gun, and later the Villar Perosa submachine gun. Tests were carried out by the Bersaglieri in 1908 - 1909 and by 1910, the Italian government decided to order some 6,000 Genovesi rifles, to be manufactured at Terni for the cost of over one million Lira.

The Genovesi rifle was by this time known interchangeably as the Genovesi-Revelli or the Revelli-Terni, and a preliminary batch of 150 were delivered to the Bersaglieri in 1911. These rifles actually did apparently see combat use in Libya during the Italo-Turkish War (1911 - 1912), but performed so poorly in the desert that the entire order was prematurely cancelled before the 6,000 guns could be produced. This was around the exact same time that Mexico was fielding the Mondragón rifle.

Terni M91 Carcano Semiauto conversion

This rifle started out its life an a normal M91 Carcano long rifle, before being converted into an experimental self-loader by the Terni Arsenal. Rather than adding a gas piston to the barrel, Terni engineered a short recoil system. The barrel and bolt recoil together about a centimeter (3/8 inch) upon firing. Instead of the original bolt with two lugs and a 90-degree throw, a new 8-lug bolt was used, which only requires a slight amount of rotation to unlock. That unlocking is done by an angled wedge that the bolt travels up as it recoils rearward.

The rifle is still chambered in the original 6.5x52mm caliber, using standard 6-round Mannlicher style clips. The date of the conversion is not clear, although the base rifle was manufactured in 1908.

(A huge assumption here this rifle was made before ww2 , but it might as well be after the war here are my reasons is usage of 6.5 mm which wouldn’t make sense in a world in the aftermath of WW2 (the ammo is hard to get to nowadays,too the batches dry up so fast and then you have to wait like a year so they can restock and to get your hand on those rounds but before you can it all dries up again ) but for all I know it might have been a gun from after WW2 if that’s the case ignore this

ZK-391

The ZK-391 is one in a series of Czech developmental semiautomatic rifles designed by Josef Koucký. It was developed initially in 1939 (hence the “39” in the designation), and was tested by the Italian military in 1943. It was ultimately not put into production, but nonetheless is an interesting detail of rifle development – a Czech design made under German occupation for Italian trials .

Mechanically, the rifle shared many elements with the M1 Garand, including the two-lug rotating bolt, the long stroke gas piston, and the removable gas tube. It has several unique elements as well, like the trigger guard doubling as a lever to recock the hammer and the out of battery safety mechanism incorporating the receiver top cover.God bless Ian

Beretta Mod.18 fed from bottom

his is a proper Revelli-Beretta submachine gun feeding mags from the bottom. It appears that this was achieved by simply flipping the receiver (lifted straight from the Villar Perosa SMG) on its head, evidenced by the inverted cocking slot. The gun likely ejects straight upward, and this is probably why it was not preferred over the standard top-feeding model - the rapidly-ejecting bullets would have obstructed the user’s line of sight during firing and therefore defeated the point of placing the mag underneath somewhat.

Beretta Automatic Carabine

Obtained by attaching a delay spring to the bolt of an O.V.P., and by changing the firing system to one having a button that permits full-automatic fire.
When the button was not kept depressed, the weapon fired in semiautomatic upon normal pull on the trigger.
Probably exists only in this prototype.
