The next thing is the tables of equipment and units. Why is the engineering squad from tier II?

And I understand that anti-tank charges are from tier 2 so that at tier 1 people use anti-tank rifles.

But isn’t it possible to create cannons in the game divided into tiers and the possibility of assigning a given construction to engineers or assigning it to the appropriate tier?
After all, every army, apart from these iconic anti-tank guns, also had field guns of a smaller caliber.
So are anti-aircraft guns and various constructions.
And it would breathe a second life into the engineering units that are currently used only by old-timers who know how quickly such an unit is built.

Bruh, not all people is as experienced as you. Those new player will just leave the game after seeing such imbalance.

So my first question is what will happen with these? Will they be completly removed or those who managed to unlock them before the update can keep them?
Also panzer 4 g, and t 34 stz is in the tech tree but I thought those will be exclusive to the Stalingrad full acess owners, so what will happen with those?

Balance and war. There is no balance in war. In addition to technique, you also need tactics.
I understand the balance, but let the weapons also be assigned to the theater of operations because it would be nice to be able to drive the KV-1 in Moscow, use marder vehicles against them or pzIII with a long 50.

Balns with a balance, but I paid for a product that is being destroyed because someone can’t accept that the Germans had a shit and took a hoe to the sun because that was the attack of the Third Reich on the USSR.

I’d prefer a balance towards more variety of weapons on the field rather than creating some meta set.

In my opinion, there should be more focus on the operation of the teams, the ability to issue orders, follow the bots the same way as the player, that when I jump through the window, so do they, so that they would not be such whipping boys. So that they could be given orders to create a tranche, man stationary weapons, or to operate a field cannon, and I, as the commander with binoculars, would set their target, specify the projectile and the command to open fire.

Hello! Thank you for this post! Here’s a few suggestions I have regarding the order of weapons on the tech tree:

These are all just my opinions. Obviously there will be some flaws in my proposed changes. (such as I just realized after writing all this that swapping the flammenwerfer 41 with Panzerfaust 100 would put Flametrooper IIs against M1 Carbines, I am still going to post this to hopefully get a good discussion going)

Germany:

  1. Put the MP 40 (and 38) lower on the German assault weapons tech tree, and make the MP 3008 and VG 1-5 higher on the tree.

  2. Swap the Gewehr 33/40 and the Kar98k in the German rifle tech tree. I know the Gewehr 33/40 was an earlier weapon, I still think it would make more sense for it to come directly afterward or near the Pre-war Kar98k.

  3. On the German tank tech tree, make the Panther G a “side-grade” to the Panther A. This would mean it’s optional to unlock it. I don’t think it makes sense to unlock 2 tanks that are almost the same thing.

  4. On the German rifle tech tree, make the ZH-29 lower than the G43.

  5. On the German machine gun tree, swap the MG13 and the Breda Mod. 30. I don’t think it would be good for new players to start with a bad machine gun for the Germans. A new player would want to use something like the MG42, and I think the MG13 would be a good introduction to the German machine guns.

  6. In the German heavy weapons tree, swap the Panzerfaust 100 with the Flammenwerfer 41. I don’t think it makes sense to unlock 3 AT weapons in a row that are all direct upgrades from each other.

  7. Make the Ju 87 R-2 a “side-grade” of the Ju 87 B-2. (similar to the Panther)

USA:

  1. In the USA rifle tech tree, make the Springfield M1903A1 USMC a “side-grade” to the Springfield M1903. Make the M1917 Enfield a “side-grade” to the Enfield P14. I say this, because the USA has 4 bolt action rifles that are all very similar and I don’t think its necessary to unlock every single one.

  2. In the USA assault tech tree, swap the M3 Submachine gun and the Sten Mk II. I don’t think it makes sense to be unlocking British weapons before you unlock at least 1 iconic American weapon in a tech tree called “USA.”

  3. In the USA machine gun tech tree, put the Browning M1918A1 in between the Bren MkI and MkII. Again, it doesn’t make sense to be unlocking tons of British weapons before you unlock the iconic BAR

That’s all I have for changes to the tech tree. I know this will mean changes the rank of items (shown at the top of each nation’s tech tree) but I believe these are necessary changes to give players for options and less of a grind.

I don’t feel like pistols need to have such high BR rating i like m1911 way more than hi-power and yet the later is tier 5, pistols should be maximum of tier 4.
Are there any chart with gold weapon order and premium weapons/vehicles BR rating?

weapon balance is a false proposition,
team balance is the real path for enlisted.

defeating one guy is not a problem. defeating 6-8 guys with stg/fg42 is a problem even for experienced players, not to mention newbies.
also big vehicle disparity between start and end of campaign aka stuart vs tiger, or pz2 vs t34.

it is soft BR, so if there are not enough players in one tier, it will expand its search to another tier. i am more concerned about if there is hard limit to tier expansion and can t1 and t10 ever be in battle together.

Glad to see the newbie friendly balance, but Im must say that Im really satisfied with the current tree.
You will probably end up fighting guys 2 tiers above or below you.
The tiers lack variety, the most diverse you can get is 2 rifles, 2 smgs, a heavy weapon and some vehicles.
I hope that the possibilities will be greatly expanded.
US/UK could get French weapons, SU land lease, GE/IT Axis minor equipment since they already have the Hungarian Király39M.

The tree NEEDS a revision after it has been tested.

and how will you achieve this? with introducing some kind of skill ranking? this would just turn game from casual to competitive sweat fest.

This is a game, not war simulator.

I wonder what the point of that “soft lock” they promised for historical accuracy was for if these are the tiers.

Why don’t the devs add a similar match making system for each campaign and just give us the option to join any?

This will make the game loose its identity and my attention for this game as well.

Also why are we seeing missing gear and tanks???

it could be extremely “soft” to please those who dont want historical accuracy at all.

The game was supposed to be historical and advertises itself as such, not an arcade shooter modeled on the Second World War. I know what I paid for and I don’t like the idea of putting end-of-war weapons on a 1941-1942 theater of operations.

Because now weak players will be harassed by good players who will want to use bolt action rifles.
Access to semi-automatic rifles should be faster so as not to scare off such dissatisfied players who just scream “out of balance, remove this, balance that”.

Realism and lack of balance are better because it can always be solved with tactics, and if thinking hurts someone, it means that tactical games are not for them.
Unless, in the future, the developers will separate the balanced (less realistic) mode from the historical (more realistic) one.

And they will add more team controls.

The largest base of both active and paying players are World War II enthusiasts. But the developers are doing everything to push them away from the game. It’s like wt more players play realistic and historical mode than arcade mode, and why? Because people get bored with the balance of everything.
