Jumbo should be replaced with another tank

Jumbo must be replaced with another tank. Jumbo is out of balance in the game. And jumbo shouldn’t exist because it’s never actually been used in the Normandy amphibious campaign.

another series of “just flank it” debate

Devs that they aren’t going to remove it, but here is a little secret from someone who fights jumbos at point blank, angle your damn armor

Tilt the tower? It has 50mm, no reason to shoot into the hull where the 80mm is.

Oh I know that but you can also keep on the move while angled

i think the problem is in the jumbos that stay in the grey zone and shoot from there, there`s no actual way to flank them and good luck penetrating the front ( please dont mention that 1 tiny pixel on the front, good luck shooting that from a long distance)

also idk if its just me but frequently the tank model in long distance gets bugged , you look at the tank and see them looking sideways, and suddenly they shoot you in the face, because while the model shows them looking away they are actually looking straight at you

Gray zone camping is an issue that needs to be resolved no matter what side does it

yeap, only solution i`ve found is to send suicide bombers in the gray zone :D. just leg it towards the tank throw dynamites and die

Maybe a good solution is to restricted weapons in your spawn areas, seen as gray zone for the other team, so you can only use your shovels or hammer as an engineer?

They are not going to take something away from a player that they have invested real life money on. So no matter if this thread gets made 400 or 600 times. Not going to happen.

Jumbo actually brings balance depending on the way you look at it. Right now Normandy is nicely balanced, without the Jumbo it wont.

100% feels to me this is the main issue as well. Grey zone camping from both sides is silly and should be fixed somehow.

Long range battles seem buggy, its a long tennis match because neither side can shoot what they aim at resulting in randomly shooting things.

How am I going to shoot if I’m moving? Are you suggesting aiming a tiny machine gun or commander’s turret while moving?
You are talking complete nonsense.

If you have your priorities on killing jumbo then yeah not a good idea to constantly shot on the move, However if you are focused on staying alive then yes moving while angling will be your best friend, also on a side note the 91mm of pen is at point blank also happens to where I usually duel them in my 3N and around 200 meters, aka gray zone camping, the shot jumbo uses has about 85mm of penetration at a 0 degree attack angle

I’m telling you about a specific delusional situation, I’ll speak in order:
Jumbo and I see each other, my options:

  1. I try to aim at him. The areas where I can hit him are much smaller than the ones he can hit (the whole turret). In addition, the vulnerable areas of the Pz4 are located so that they are always visible - the turret. I may not see the jumbo’s machine gun nest from behind a bush, or the commander’s turret if the jumbo is taller. So in such a duel the jumbo has first shot advantage. If it penetrates, it kills me 1-2 crew members and can damage the turret or gun (the former happens often). If I cannot turn the turret, I lose. While a new crewmember is transferred to the gunner’s seat, the jumbo will fire one more shot. I lose.
  2. I will drive. Okay, so it’s harder for him to hit, but also I’ll never target areas, because he’s just as moving for me, because I’m driving, but my sight is shaking and his sight is not. Obviously the odds are not in my favor.
The only chance is to have time to shoot first before he notices me and moves his sight, but this is a universal rule for any tank.
All of the above means that I will always be in a losing position, because I have a 50mm turret, behind which sits a valuable gunner without whom I can not shoot.
