Improving Berlin

Our location artists continue their journey around old maps, creating new pathways, adding more reliable cover and other balance improvements. This time we return to the center of Berlin.

By the way, we’ve already made a few noticeable improvements to it, and this is Round Two.

ROAD TO THE REICHSTAG

Two new pathways have been added to the southern part of the Ministry of the Interior. Previously, attackers only had one path, under the three arches, through which they could attack the Reichstag or the Kroll Opera House from the Ministry. And it could have been easily covered by a tank from the park near the Reichstag. Now it’ll be easier to slip by unnoticed.

We’ve also opened a few previously blocked windows on the northern side.

THE REICH CHANCELLERY

Earlier, it was possible to attack Hitler’s office from the east via two corridors, and from the west - only via the marble gallery.

We’ve opened up a nearby corridor that was inaccessible before. This alternative path will help the players diversify their tactics.

We’ve also solved the problem of the easily destroyable covers inside the Reich Chancellery. Some sandbag barricades were replaced by durable filing cabinets that the Germans carried to their positions. Now a single heavy machine gun won’t dominate the entire corridor, and Hitler’s office will be harder to clear out with grenades.

A few other small improvements.

We’ve changed the height of the windows of the brick buildings near the Reichstag and in other parts of Berlin. Now it’s comfortable to fire through these loopholes.

A few changes were made to the civilian houses. We’ve barricaded a few small dead ends to improve navigation in these buildings.

These improvements will be added to the game in one of the upcoming major updates, and we’ll keep collecting statistics and your feedback about our maps in Enlisted.

When will the update be launched? And will there be a detailed roadmap in 2024 like last year? Any more planned bug fixes?

amazing improvements!

Berlin and the new Ardennes are full of open objectives that beg for artillery spam, please add trenches with small shelters to all open objectives to increase the survival rate of soldiers.

don’t even bother asking that, a helper will just answer you the universal: SOON™

Yes. This year we are planning big updates and a roadmap, but after the release on Steam.

Before release, we plan to fix a lot of bugs, make some improvements for Steam, and then lay out the roadmap.

So, when will the bug of gun grenades not working properly be fixed?

Please adjust the Tiergarten 1st point where German tanks lock down the Soviet tank spawn.

Also, is it planned to improve Stalingrad map by removing BR 4-5? @Keofox @_Movmav
Late war vehicles and weapons don’t make any sense there in 1942.

Please widen the battle zone of this street map to provide more room for tanks to maneuver around.
Because Soviet tanks lack frontal protection, but the map does not even provide other side attack paths.

I would prefer fixing wannabe-Seelow map.

Mainly, escorting the train doesn’t give you any point.

Personally…
Building spawn points is a pain in the ass because of the trains no-zone.
The map itself is terrible. Half of the time you can spawncamp spawns because they are a easily attackable barn or house. Same applies to tank spawns.
AI struggles to get into the train.
Also

Personal note but its also stupid that bodies still drop from the train.

And no objective attack/defend kills in and around the train, even though the train itself is considered as an objective.

well will see how these change gonna affect rally position and what not since i do get berlin a lot

votes over the last year place this mode as the least liked on a regular basis. the core mechanic doesnt create fun/balanced battles and rallies dont work with the moving greyzone.

solution → the werbig map itself is one of the best in the game, just the train mode sucks. use the map to create some great forest fights by removing the train and expanding the forest area with some hills, caves, etc. to make it a normal invasion map.
basically a mix of ruins of vaux and hürtgen forest with the german forest/architecture setting.
