Halftracks should be place on some maps, like all sorts of jeeps, kubelwagens and opels.
Or how additional to riflemans squad 3. Otherwise, they are useless imo.

If players can customize it, the better for devs.
Second, it woulsnt be balanced in my opinion.
But if course, that remains my opinion.
I failed to see how supporting infantry with specialization is pointless though

Simply put, you want a personally customized halftrack.
