imagine having these options in the game to counter enemy gray zone tank

  2. plane
  3. AT infantry
  4. engineer AT gun
  5. AT mortar
  6. smoke grenades from infantry, smoke shells from tank, smoke arty or smoke mortar.

Majority? You mean the loud barking minority yes? Didn’t find majority of people opposed greyzone nor the issues, at best bunch gone against adding greyzone access class to defend greyzone.

If I remember that BF 1 doesn’t have greyzone and mass spawn camping is a issue. Either way, fixed greyzone is ok since proper building placement and such will avoid tanks trying to camp there.

In some maps like the monastery, or some stalingrad maps defender gets upper hand in defending while attackers knows barely anything where they gonna camp. Like monastery map, you have a hill to climb and go through either 3 of the ways to get inside the compound which ik is 100% infested with defenders camping here and there. Tanks can’t do shit because they ain’t good climbers, bad depression turret, and gives enough time for defending team to destroy them.

If you wish to apply realistic depiction of War and its cruelty between enemies to this game, there is no reason for Greyzone to exist in the first place, that would not fly IRL, especially since Partisans were a thing and those boys did not give a F about you being deep in your own occupied territory.

Secondly tanks in WW2 were first to move in followed by Mechanized infantry, therefore idea of camping away from the combat is BS in the first place, unless you use an SPG like Stug/SU-76 or M8 Scott to soften up enemy positions, otherwise tanks like Pz.3/4, T-34 or Shermans were usually leading the charge.

Honestly I prefer to follow “fair play” policy and not being a massive D, same way as most sports do. This game ain’t the competitive mess like LoL, CS, Valorant or Dota and the rewards are not something worth ruining the fun of others, even if they are my opponents. Should everyone indulge in all the no-fun allowed tactics, like you mention just to maximize their perfomance, this game would not have much of a lifespan left.

so you are saying that those tanks parked in front of enemy infantry and objectives that they were trying to take? or did they actually break through the enemy lines? also tell me did armies in ww2 send tanks into tank unfriendly zones (which you have in lot of maps) when they were engaged in combat?

this is such BS argument that is taken out of context on how tanks were actually used in ww2.

i have premium and this would not affect me either way. i just dont want this game to be p2w and second vehicle slot actually gives advantage over people who dont have it.

Given objectives in-game take time to capture and breakthrough is not exactly something the game can mirror completely, the idea of tanks taking up a position beside the objective whilst infantry captures it is not exactly unrealistic, certainly not like tanks waiting in the backlines for inf to do all.

Yes they did in WW2 and even in modern wars, just look at Chechen war and how that went for them. It may not be smart to go urban with armored vehicles, but someone has to bring the firepower for the infantry regardless whether they are at the disadvantage or not. Plus only maps that put tanks into clear disadvantage are some mostly Berlin/Stalingrad maps, otherwise Moscow, Normandy and Tunisia are very open and their urban areas are certainly manageable even for tanks.

Nah just nerf the TNT packs and TNT charge since BR 3 or lower tanks suffer miserably by just yeeting on the side of the tank with correct timing. Sometimes it can save you, but your whole tank’s engine and transmission along with fuel and other blocks destroyed which makes the tank futile. Also nerf AT rockets like panzerfausts by ton because apparently it can 1 shot any tanks, heavy or not.

Basic spawn point protection is a must
How do you solve the problem of camping at the spawn point without the gray zone?
The dominant side will hit the inferior side at the rebirth point.
Or stick TNT on the tank the moment you respawn
Then blow you up when you get close to the war zone

Obviously you can use rocket launchers, anti-tank guns, and vehicles to solve the distance problem
But you just keep protesting that you can’t hit campers with explosive charges and anti-tank rifles

What do you mean by fair competition?
Make the game more monotonous and boring to protect the selfish and incompetent poisoners?
Or should the disadvantaged team not be able to leave the stronghold within 20 minutes?

AT infantry again not from the front i cant count the number of heavy tanks that have bounce AT rockets
engineer gun, nope good option but hard to move and build
planes, sure if you are lucky enough to get a good flyer on you’re team
AT mortar again if you are relying on Unicorns like a decent pilot

as for smoke its broken it covers a tiny area and last for too short a time, i will admit smoke shells for the small number of tanks that get them are good
smoke discharger on tank, almost never used or seen used same goes for artillery and infantry smoke grenades

20 seconds is the time it takes to get into throwing range moving straight for a tank on the edge
if deep in the zone, a tank showing any sense of awareness, or protected by even one or two infantry it takes far longer

Smoke is a good thing
Only a fool wouldn’t take advantage of it
(Coming from the player who always uses smoke to keep those idiots alive and close to the base)

It usually doesn’t take long to reload a tank’s smoke grenade
You are perfectly capable of maintaining 2 to 3 smoke points

This is enough to allow you to cover several major routes or fire points

I’ve been advocating for a delay in the advance of the gray zone for attackers after capture of an objective for a while now. Somewhere in the ballpark of 30-180 seconds should be plenty time to allow defenders a moment to breathe and build a couple defenses. However, it is NOT enough time to turn the objective into an impenetrable fortress

In my opinion, there is no difference between this sentence and nonsense
Until you have enough arguments to argue that gray areas are unnecessary and that the reason why you can’t fight campers is not because the players are stupid and selfish.
It’s better to think about what to say first
