Grey Zone New System

It’s a topic that has been discussed to the point of exhaustion, but here I bring another idea for the developers that could give a breath of fresh air, although the majority wants to make the grey zone disappear, at least until larger maps are made as in a certain mod, I think the solution would be a dynamic grey zone like in Battlefield, let me explain: attackers and defenders if they accidentally get caught in the grey zone will be able to move around it without being able to attack OR be attacked, however, this is only temporary, since if you leave this zone while you move to the next point, you will suffer the consequences of being a deserter, that is, you will lose your life without remedy, I also don’t want it to be a permanent protection, but rather that it protects you for a period sufficient for you to be able to move but not eternal to avoid abuse, in addition to the fact that the bots will try to “flee” from the grey zone and go to the point, also add that in case of capturing a point, the area around the next point will be a grey zone in which only the defenders will be able to establish defenses, a period of grace of a minute or so to avoid those cases of “attackers attack first point, capture it, in less than 30 seconds repeat the process”, few points and boring game, I am looking for some balance, and part of the idea I give to my good friend PKtiger who discussed it with me

Dumb (if I understood it correctly).

The best fix, in my opinion, for the current greyzone system is:

  • If you’re in the greyzone, your shots don’t count.

  • Once you leave the greyzone, you can’t go back into it.

Last night I saw a tank in a Tunisia map sat back a good 200-300m in the greyzone, pounding the point with impunity. Nothing could get close. That’s hardly fair or balanced.

Well That is where the effective range of most tanks usually start.
Or is it fair and balanced that every soldier can destroy a tank in close range?

basically trying counter grey zonner attackers

that’s what I suggested

He was 200-300m back in the greyzone, not from the point.

Not a single infantry would have the time to wander 300m into the enemy greyzone before behind map-suicided.

Is the gray zone really a problem? Or is it an excuse for the incompetent?

I don’t think that the more incompetent group or the group that prefers to make excuses for their laziness can be called the majority.
The total number of players in this game is about 40,000 (total April Fool’s Day rankings)
The total number of players per day is about 4 to 6,000
And among such a number, less than 100 people will regularly protest or cry about this content.

To be honest
100 people is just the maximum number I guessed
My observation records from the end of last year to now
There are only about 10 players who will protest against this content

not

not

If they encounter an enemy that cannot be dealt with by destroying it at close range
Maybe they should try other methods or try to cooperate with teammates
Instead of holding an explosive pack and complaining about being unable to throw it into a tank 100 meters away

You mean OP or the grey zone camper?

Close enough to be the majority of people capable of building rallies, marking and overall working as team, so yeah one might consider that the majority of “actual” players.

Still does not change their effective range issue. Most spawns are 100-150m away from CP anyways.

So cant any tank drive outside the spawns without getting nukepacked instantly.

Not even you do that though.

went to reply to you, but had to deny few things.

well it is almost the same when gray zone starts 40-50m from cap point.

that is why you have AT soldiers with rocket launchers and engineers that can build AT guns. also you can take another tank or plane to kill tank in gray zone. only thing that gray zone blocks is easy kill with det pack from point blank range.

Imo you can’t change the current grey zone without buffing tanks in close combat (or nerfing infantry).

Is this a issue though?

/ Nerf infantry AT.
But that would basically mean limit or nerf detpacks and limits are gay.

it depends on the cooperation method
Whether it’s marking or notifying the location
Or some form of division of labor and cooperation

I think my performance in multi-functional support should not be too bad.
(Except when being poisoned by casual players, most of them should do well)

Gray Zone camping is still a big deal wether some you want to admit or not. If your low BR (really I’m talking BR1) you do not have access to good AT weapons and if your F2P you can only bring in one vehicle. It’s hard to take on a Gray Zone tank if you don’t have the right equipment. I am in favor of Tankers being rewarded no points or kills while in the Gray zone. That way those that don’t necessarily know they are Grey Zone camping can figure it out without being overly penalized.

very contrarian today, aren’t we Captain? More so than usual. Been camping in grey zones recently?
