Same ammunition regardless
i know, i’m just being a smartass
or at least get rid of the gray zone so more of the already fairly large maps are utized
depends on which grayzone since making the maps wider sure i’m fine with that but completely getting rid of it is a big no go because spawncampers
The M10 Wolverine is armed with the (incorrectly named in game) 75mm Gun M7, a variant of the 3-inch Gun M1918, and uses M61 ammo, which is a four pounds heavier projectile traveling almost 500fps slower than
The M4A2 76(w), armed with the 76mm M1 cannon, firing M62 ammunition, which is lighter and faster and penetrates more.
The only difference you can see in game is the mislabelled gun on the M10 (still M7 though) and the different gun on the Sherman. The difference would also explain the difference in performance between the two.
edit: I was very wrong. Leaving up for posterity.
friend…
buddy…
pal…
M10 never had a 75mm gun you schizo the M10 had the 76 for a m4 chassis that was slim down. All footage of the M10 had the 76mm gun you rat
Look at Wikipedia
It says it uses a 3 inch gun (76.2 mm )
The m10 never had a 75mm, it was given the 76.2mm M7 gun you walking tabloid…
The M7 is a derivative of the 76.2mm AA gun
It fires the same exact rounds as the M1 76mm
greetings from anhui city fish market, hefei province (less mercury than neighbouring provinces)
the M10 hughjackman was built from the onset with the gun,m7 76.2mm gun anti tank,to infer that m10 was ever build with 75mm gun is like saying that a tank destroyer is armed with an anti-infant gun
the m7 762mm gun on the wolverhampton M10 is the same gun mounted on the borrow-latefees M4A2 w/76.2m gun soviet tank premium swuadron in berlin
it makes perfect sense that the M10 and M4A2 76.2mm would share the same ammunition because the guns are the same breed
@_31420124242011 is correct and honest in saying that his experience using the M4 sheridan w/76mm M7 in berlin against same model cwc panther,is extrapolatable into the realm of nromandy when using the M10 washingmachine w.76mm M7 gun against pantser
These are fair, tbh, the sherman site gets that nomenclature wrong.
I’m not wrong about it’s ammo though.
No, it damned well doesn’t.
It fired the same projectiles as the 3-inch Gun M1918 3-inch (76 mm) M7 gun mounted on the 3in Gun Motor Carriage M10 tank destroyer and towed 3-inch Gun M5 anti-tank gun, but from a different cartridge case.[6]
I’ll admit when I’m wrong, but when I’m not, I’m fuggin’ not.
Even when I’m only technically right. That cartridge case and the barrel lengths are going to make a difference in velocity. Working to see if I can find collaborating sources for projectile weights or other differences between M61 and M62.

whilst M10 walgreen and M4A2 shermy do not share exactly same gun, mechanical workings of both guns are such that they can use ammunition of same breed and gender
You are wrong

They fire the same ammunition
And the penetration is nearly identical

m10 and M4A2 penetrate the same amount of armor regardless of infitesimal discretincies in gun manufatcture
