Have you tried throwing 4kg of anything around? That is a suicide bomb, not a throwable charge
they have a slightly longer fuse, i think i remember reading somewhere that the average fuse time was 7 seconds but it was adjustable. i guess it would be realistic for you to be able to run right up to the side of the tank and plant the charge so you have the option of throwing it or directly planting it, what you think?
but yea 8.8lb thats a medium sized barbell, i can toss one of those give or take 12-15 ft, like im not a big dude so i gave you a realistic answer lol i figure the bigger the dude you are the further you will be able to throw shit lol
well in current state you have to get fairly close to tank anyway.
Yep, but the range is still pretty grenade-like, you have to go close but not THAT close, so it’s pretty unbalanced in my opinion.
I was just foreseeing the future where this train of thoughts will lead us…
What about replacing them with maybe heavier charges (same fuze lenght, maybe a little bit longer), like 3/4kg heavy? Having heavier charges mean that now it makes sense to be able destroying all kind of vehicles from the lightest to the heavies, and also means that due to the increased weight the throwing range is significantly reduced in a way that you have to be really close to the objective in order to place them, so the “big risk big reward thing” is correctly applied. Also they would ac…
well what do you think about this one?
Instead of playing the game and getting better at other aspects of gameplay, like playing infantry, you bitch and moan on the forums endlessly instead. It’s honestly sad.
y do ppl keep saying the explosives should only kill from the underside? do they forget that the tops of the tanks generally have armor around as weak as the bottom?
I already said that I personally find TOO easy AS AN INFANTRY PLAYER to kill tanks, since I don’t use vehicles often.
I watch netflix or text on my phone while tanking and usually take first place, killing gobs of infantry and other vehicles. Tanking is already training wheels for this game, no need to make it easier.
The idea that a proximity based OHK is “problematic” for you in a vehicle that is otherwise immune to most forms of fire is quite literally laughable.
I’d have more respect for you if you just admitted you were struggling instead of, like every single person on this forum, pretended like you were a PRO MLG GAMER TOURNEY WINNER.
true that the top armour may be close to as thin but take into account where the blast is coming from… like good example of what would happen is you take a firecracker and you set it off in the palm of your hand, your gonna get a nasty burn, now take that same firecracker and close your fist around it… poof your wife’s gonna be opening your ketchup bottle for the rest of your life
tanks do the following
- survive bomb blasts
- survive all small arms fire
- survive hits from anti-tank guns
- survive hits from other tanks
- survive flak gun fire
- survive strafing runs from 20 and 37mm cannons
- survive molotovs
- survive PIAT, sturm pistol hits
- survive boat loads of anti-tank rifle hits
What tanks do not do
- survive a bomb being tossed directly underneath or ontop of the engine deck that an infantryman had to expose himself to small arms fire and your tank to toss there.
Definitely not a learn 2 play issue.
Can give someone all the tools for success and they will still flounder and blame the tools. SAD
I never pretended to be a pro. In fact my skills are average. You, on the other hand, can’t be a little bit elastic. I will explain again for the 100000th time some advantages of a tank:
- limited field of view
- being big, cumbersome, sostantially a moving target (infantry can hide, sneak, find shelter inside buildings and make ambushes)
if its got like an inch thick armour then its very possible that it would survive a blast from 1.2kg of ANFO dynamite and the heavy tanks have at least an inch thick bottom hull it definitely wouldn’t be unscathed though if it just took a blast of dynamite to the bottom, though it would likely survive the 1st pack. anything under an inch thick wouldn’t be able to survive it though… which is all the medium/light tanks
the fact that you bitch and moan this much is absolutely disturbing. I regularly go entire matches without dying in my tanks. I legitimately don’t know what you are doing to die so much to detpacks.
nothing like iv said multiple times i don’t have a problem when using tanks… but i clearly fucking see how easy i can decimate tanks with dynamite packs and thats the problem… im like a fucking anti-tank god and i don’t even run a single AT soldier…
Barely any tank has an inch of armor underneath/on top.
6-15mm in general. Those with more are nearly unkillable
yep but some do like the jumbo with its 25mm thick bottom hull but even those tanks i can instakill with a single pack straight to the front … like whats the point of having 114mm thick front hull armour if the same explosion pack grenade that everyone equips can detonate you through that armour…
to the front? I think if you place it right on top, it MIGHT affect them. Have played against some nearly invincible tanks, used up 3 explosives (only one placed around the side), the engineer AT gun, nothing hurt it.
how do you throw your explosion packs… do you hold onto them until your guy automatically throws it or do you try to gamble and throw it before cooking it…
