its 1.2kg of dynamite… a lower energy explosive… it should take at least 2 and at most 3 explosion packs to blow a tank up and the AT Gunner should have a special grenade called a “Satchel Charge” or the “M37 Demolition Kit” containing 4kg of high explosive Composition C that can take out tanks with a single charge.
I will tell frankly 4 similar topics in 3 days, the forum response: no change
another tank main wanting their main counter nerfed
nothing to see here folks, just move along
yea because it doesn’t make sense that a 1.2 kg charge of low energy explosive can turn an heavily armoured vehicle into a smoldering ash pit when you can throw multiple High Explosive/Armour Piercing tank shells at that same take without damaging it at all… like you realize a HE 75mm M3 shell contains 6.76 kg of high explosive that’s like more then 5x the charge of these explosion packs and you can throw upwards of 40 HE shells at light tanks before they blow up…
Its a game make sense in a game
no im trying to get these ridiculously overpowered explosion packs turned into what they actually are… you aren’t gonna kill a tank with a 1.2kg low energy explosive when the HE tank shells contain 6.76kg of high explosive and you can fire like 40 of those at fuckin light tanks before they will blow up
but yet you expect me to not bring up the fact that a 1.2kg pack of blasting charge dynamite can decimate fucking Heavy Battle Tank in a single blast to their front armour… the heaviest armour on the tank…
you are awere that just mindlessly lobbing an explosion pack doesnt do shit to most tanks right? you actually need to either climb under the tank or cook it perfectly so that it lands ontop of the turret. if you actually play smart and dont just go rushing into infantry without support like an idiot, you might realise that it is actually really fucking hard to destroy a infantry supported tank
Actually it should be nerfed against inf lol.
And it’s with this type of mentality that now we have jumbo vs Panther
Then its tankies fault for getting allahu akbared and not the system itself.
Nope granade do more inf kills if you try deathpack they hardly kill the infantry in open space, except when it is all clustered
the problem is 1.2kg of explosive is barely enough to damage a light tank let alone anything with heavier armour then that… those 4kg satchel charges im talking about adding for AT gunners were noted to only be able to disable heavy battle tanks but they could completely destroy medium tanks
you are missing the point. lets just say that those tanks you killed were supported by infantry. you would have been shot in the head before you got close
i would actually agree that mindlessly rushing tanks are free xp. but good tank players dont play like that
that 75mm HE shell 6.76kg weight is the total weight of projectile.
The filler amount is going to be like 10% of that.
doesn’t fucking matter because im cooking a grenade so if they shoot me il end up getting like 5 afterlife kills and i just send in my next trooper with an explosion pack to finish off the now unguarded tank…
no 6.76kg is the explosive charge + the shell its weight shoots up to like 25kg’s… if a tank shell was only 6.76 kgs total weight that would be a light ass projectile like think about how much a 15lb barbell weighs… its fairly light
im not on this subject because i even like tanks im asking for some fucking realism so i actually have to use some strategy to take out tanks unlike how i just run in and use a no-skill strategy to burn them easy as all hell
honestly the only tank i like is the rhino and thats because its got that plow on the front to clear trees easily
That is simply not correct, and you can find the answer online easily.
The filler amount is 1.47 or 1.64lbs depending on which specific variant of shell is in question.
More explosives for the AT gunner? Hell yeah on that front. Only thing I would want nerfed is their effectiveness against Infantry. Still no reason to use frag grenades unless you´re out of anything else really.
you absolute nonce, now you’re just saying shit that supports your narative without even considering for a second what i said
what if it the squad there was bigger than 5 soldiers conveniently all standing in your grenade radius? what if there were 2 squads? what if the tanker was skilled and placed himself in a open position where you cannot approach him without getting sniped?
the det pack is just a big old vibe check. you pushed your tank to far forwards without support? you deserve to die to a common rifleman
if you want realism let people just stick a grenade in the exhaust or some shit like that. most of the community would say that tanks and det packs are in a good balanced state at the moment
