Explosion packs are wayyy to powerful for what they actually are

This. Positioning and movement are important skills for a good tanker, this would really diminish that, making bad, situationally unaware tankers succeed when they shouldn’t

Amen to that

How about just buff the AT Gunners’ AT weapons and the Engineer Squads AT Gun instead?

That way infantry could also maybe deal with tanks that stay in the “grey zone”.

IF those things worked well enough, then we can start talking about reducing Explosive Pack effectiveness vs tanks.

people wouldn’t use the AT squad even if you buff it because the explosion pack is already way too powerful and kills tanks just fine…

Why honestly?

Tanks are good as they are, if we’ll used they will decimate a team very easily. If used poorly they will die fast.

If you nerf AT and , specially the dynamite bundle, there will be a lot of people stock been unable to kill a shitty tanker, simply because they lack the means to do so.

It simply makes no sense from a balance stand point. And from a realism point of view Molotov a should replace the dynamite but they would be far stronger than the dynamite since less positioning is required and they go off on impact for great effect.

which is how it fucking should be… infantry avoid tanks like they’re the fucking plague unless you have an AT squad backing you up…

At squads exist to deal with tanks at range. Not at melee distance. That is why they got AT ranged weapons.

Nop, that isn’t how anything works.

and if they also have satchel charges that can kill tanks they would be that much more effective meaning they would be used more… normal infantry can disable the tank with explosion packs and the AT guy can drop the satchel run and turn the bitch into a pile of ash

strategy…

or infantry can pool explosion packs together to kill tanks

Or don put your tank in a poor position, where infantry can deal with you on a heartbeat.

Strategy, positioning, proper tactics.

Your own invulnerability depends on you. Not on random overpowered buffs/nerds from the devs.

you know how many people i end up running into where i can just blow the shit out of their tank easily because i flank most of the game with my 2 squads of engineers
like go ahead stay back far away with your tank makes it easier for me cause i can sneak up behind ya as i cook my explosion pack

Exactly, you’re killing them because their positioning is bad and there’s a lack of infantry support, not because the explosion pack is op. Tanks should try to keep up with infantry, being alone (unless you’re well in the grey zone like a shitter) is a death sentence

and because the explosion pack is op… i literally just toss it at them after cooking it for the max duration so it explodes right as it hits the tank shell… instakill its fucking stupid and this is coming from the guy actually getting the instakills…

Man just because you’re good with something doesn’t make it op

you don’t have to be good with it is why its OP its like a fucking javelin AT missile system fire and forget…

Dude you can gun down lots infantry like they were nothing with a tank. And you complain that someone skilled enough got near you?.

It is on you to keep them away, not on the devs to make them useless.

and i get everything your saying but its not realistic for an explosive that shouldn’t have enough power to damage a light tank to be able to completely destroy a heavy tank in a single shot

even though realistically it would just bounce off a tanks hull without scratching it im giving it the benefit of thedoubt by saying it should be able to disable a tank

You do have to be good with it. Knowing the throwing distance, having a sense of how long to cook it for positioning and the correct place to throw it are what you need to be good at with the pack. Even in my slower tanks, only about 10% of thrown even damage me because nobody is positioned right, everyone just throws it at front/top armour without cooking so i don’t even need to move away to take no damage… its not op, the majority of players are just hot trash

A Molotov does have that power if you wanna go that route.

Also a hatchet and a frag can get that job done.

knowing the throwing distance = look at your fucking thumb… and then use it like a dropdown sight
