Darkflow! Take WT assets and give us Enlisted WW1

Enough with the whacky ‘heroes’, ‘zombies’ and other weird stuff.

Take Gewehr 98 for the Germans, Mosin for the Russians, SMLE for the British, Lebel for the French, M1903 for the Americans.

Add MP-18, Lewis Gun, Beretta M1918, Madsen, Chauchat, BAR 1918, etc. to a limited number of soldiers/classes.

Use Normandy assets to create a Western Front map and Moscow campaign assets to create an Eastern Front map.

Add these vehicles from War Thunder’s library (as you do with any other vehicle):

And give us WW1 event/side tree/modding capabilities at least.

This literally looks like Enlisted WW1:

Great idea! I would play that!

i was about to ask that.

but the last time the editor got something, was around a year ago.

i’m not sure they will agree… or implement it.

however, there are alot of ww1 mods.
so i would absolutely love that.

Would love WW1 far more than cold war. Or battle Royale based on a game even less popular than enlisted.

Actually I’m really surprised how detailed are these models. They could have done whole hand as one bulky solid and with WT scale, nobody would notice unless they would pay extra attention (or check out replays). Meanwhile those soldiers seem to have animated fingers, faces and everything.

Enlisted import, it runs on the same engine, easy job, no more effort than absolutely required. In the event trailer on WT socials, you can see a soldier using the same “yeet” animation to chuck a grenade as in Enlisted, and more.

Man I wish that WT Great War event were Enlisted event instead since Enlisted can utilize every aspect of it (infantry warfare, tank warfare, and air warfare)

The infantry AI is better than enlisted - they stay in trenches, sometimes throw grenade bundles at tanks (which have no effect but at least they do it!), will charge across no-mans land in an organised rush making for cover, and MG’s will occasionally KO an armoured car

You have to use main guns to kill them tho - AFV MG’s are only useful vs low flying a/c - but I guess that’s a trade of for their grenade bundles not killing tanks!

April Fool’s event for vehicle game has better infantry AI than the infantry AI game, that’s just depressing

they also shoot at low flying planes haha

Thank you for your post.

Yes I fully support this idea.

I agree with the argument that Enlisted should go backwards before going to Cold War.

While Id love WW1, I also think the Spanish Civil War would be a good place to start first.

It had aspects of both world wars like trench warfare but also WWII era German and Italian aircraft for instance.

If it has to be an enlisted event, so be it, but yeah like a campaign option (think pre merge) for WW1 would be really cool.

Side note when I was playing this on WT the other night I noticed one of the ‘British’ soldiers using an M1918BAR. Did the AEF actually receive BARs? I thought they came too late??

And yeah I also was reminded of Enlisted in the way the infantry chuck grenades at you. In my case infantry did actually damage my tank with a grenade, they knocked my track off so I had to repair.

Enlisted would be good as there were actually a number of vehicles and ‘tanks’ in WW1 that could be added like the Renault FT, Rolls Royce Armoured Car (these were used in WWII in some cases), Erhardt armoured car, artillery tractors, tenders, the Whippet tank etc.

An omnibus APC would be cool. I am aware this is a toy (I own this exact one) but I think it shows the vehicle off better than grainy black and white pictures.

And mini railways! (narrow gauge were used by both sides)

It can actually damage your tank though.

If you push too far in the enemy lines and get stuck/immobilised bear a trench, you’ll get AT grenades thrown at you and they do damage your tank’s modules.

Agreed.

In addition, I think Russian civil war could be really interesting:

Imagine driving a Mark V tank in Tsaritsyn near some of the same buildings you saw in the version of this city when it became Stalingrad (like Repnikova House or Gorky Theater)!

PS

Thank you everyone for the likes, we already surpassed “Operation Lederhosen” with its 15 hearts lmao

Spanish Civil war is a very unexplored and interesting topic, I would love to see something like that

A WW1 event with some event squads would be so cool. It’d be a little anachronistic but at least would wouldn’t be so far gone as the goofy Halloween stuff we have now.

Absolutely would love that! I still firmly believe that a WW1 theme would fit perfectly with the Enlisted mechanics and the way the great majority of players play the game. And I honestly rather see them move “backwards” in the timeline than forward (like they sadly did in WarThunder) as it would be much more interesting (AND there are ZERO F2P WW1 games like this one out there, but tons of modern F2P shooters, so that would make the game unique, which in turn would mean players will flock to the game and result in more revenue for the developers & publisher).

I actually started a discussion about a “WW1 Enlisted” branch a while back (some of you might still remember it): Enlisted Future -> World War One (WW1) Campaign?

Great idea for a WW1, unfortunately Dark Force doesn’t listen to it’s players.

I like your ideas, but I would start it further back to pre-WWI. Russian-Sino War, Spanish American War, Boxer Rebellion would be interesting

Interesting concepts!

I personally like all those ideas, my only question to you is some people really seem to like their tanks/vehicles and aeroplanes so not sure how the playerbase would react to a purely FPS game.

Unless we added cavalry squads in the same manner as a tank squad??

Trains would be fun too.

Boer War anyone? (I doubt anyone’s seen the film Young Winston but it has some great Boer War scenes, also of course the Australian movie Breaker Morant)
