After creating the thread, I realized that there were countless Thompsons in this game. So, what I would like to see buffed is M1A1 Thompson.
As Adamnpee said, I mainly want the sights fixed.
However, after creating this thread, I remembered that I had multiple M1 Thompsons and M21/28s in my arsenal that had been upgraded to the maximum grade, so I tried using them and they were surprisingly easy to use. I think it has sufficient performance as a BR4 weapon.
I had been playing BR2 for so long that I had forgotten about them.
The M1A1 may be sufficient as a BR3 firearm. However, I really want the sight to be fixed.
MP38/40 are now BR 2
just check ingame
This news is shocking as I just bought 10 MP28/34s last night to set up my German BR2.
I have so many MP40s that they will rot.
Sehr gut.
New update?
I donât know, was playing the game when I noticed that my german medic squad was BR 3 instead of 4. Their MP35/I got to BR 3 and MP 40 to BR 2
All of the grenade launcher are now BR 3
Lanchester is also BR 2 now
MP40 really became BR2.
Thatâs so uncanny valley. You would have certainly noticed a new update.
Wild.
I guess they might drop something big alongside it. Maybe the sale?
What about PPS-42 and PPS-43? ZK-383? MP 35/1?
New patch just shit out lowering things like the Lanchester and the MP38/40
Raising rifle GLs
Maybe Thompson went down
35 and ZK are III
Thompsons still show III and IV for me
Thanks for info
argumentative gun nerd noises
For real though, the M2 isnât strong in game because itâs an assault rifle, itâs strong because it isnât.
The other ARs have better recoil, are harder hitting, and slower rates of fire. Itâs hard to play the M2 the way I play the AS44 or the MKb. Run the M2 like a hard-hitting SMG that very occasionally can reach out, and itâs gold.
This might be a good idea for balance on the infantry side, but itâs not super needed. That, and from a historical/realism perspective, the Thompson was an overcomplicated, expensive, heavy gun designed on a principle that doesnât actually exist and was replaced by honestly better SMGs (GREASE GUN) as soon as the need arose.
The US military used the M3A1 all the way into the 90s, if anything they should take the non-drum thompsons and put them at Br 1-2 with bad accuracy, and buff the shit out of the M3A1 (original SMG of delta force) and put it up in the high end.
Im actually very happy with this. Less broken toys to abuse newbies with.
I mean, not really, since they still see low tier fights, and thereâs usually at least a few in every BR1-2 match. It just means theyâre risking getting stuck in BR5 if they want to spam the toob.
This is a great reason for them to take the m2 carbine and give it to assaulters exclusively. Riflemen, engineers, at soldiers, mortar men, artillery men and flame troopers shouldnât also be assaulters.
The m2 carbine clearly sits in the domain of the assaulter class and it is misappropriated as a general use rifle.
Along the same line; the AVT and fg42 should go to the gunner class. All automatic weapons should go to the automatic weapons classes exclusively; including the supposed sniper variants of all automatics. If the Japanese can have a machine gunner with a scope so can the others.
