US
M1C Garand sniper rifle:
Contemporary rifles such as the scoped Gewehr 43 and scoped SVT-40 are BR4.
M10 Wolverine:
Good anti-tank capabilities and armour somewhat better than M4A2 but its anti-infantry capabilities are very limited due to lack of MGs and weak HE.
M4A2 (76) W:
Same armour as the BR3 M4A2 but armed with a 76mm gun for better AT capabilities, it’s worse than both T-34-85 and Panthers due to weaker HE.
USSR
SU-85:
Fire power similar to T-34-85 but no MGs, it does however have better armour, comparable to that of the Panther G.
Germany
Fiat G55:
This was originally meant to be BR3 pre-merge, but got changed due to some whining, whoever did that never flew with or against it.
The Yak-3 with similar performance is BR3
The Mustang P-51-D5 is significantly faster and has much bigger bombs is also BR3.
Panzerwerfer 42:
The only comparable vehicle is the Calliope, which is a literal tank with rockets, a cannon, MGs and good armour protection while the panzerwerfer is just a half-track artillery piece with paper thin armour and a poorly placed MG42 for self defence. It’s 100% unfair for them to be on the same BR.
BR1 can no longer get bullied by BR3, this counter argument is no longer valid.
StG45(M) and Mkb42:
Don’t be fooled by the name, their performance is far from that of the StG44.
They have DPS and dispersion comparable to that of BR4 SMGs such as PPD-34/38 or Thompson M21/28.
Currently the only Axis tech tree BR4 assaulter weapon is the Beretta 38 (40 rounds), so BR4 really needs some love.
Japan
B5N2:
This aircraft is incredibly slow and a very easy target for any aircraft not to mention the complete lack of any forward facing weapons.
D4Y1:
It has 1 500 kg bomb which sounds good, but really isn’t when JU-188 and A-20G-25 fly around with similar performance and 6-4 250 kg bombs on the same BR.
It is comparable to the BR3 AP-1.
Tokyo Arsenal:
This weapon has insanely high DPS at CQC, better than ppsh41, M1928A1 50 rounds and Király39M, all of these are BR5.
I guess its BR4 as gewehr scope is BR4 as well.
BR3 is bit of stretch as it still can fight BR2.
Sure, I agree that scope SA hardly if at all makes any differency in BR3 vs BR2 game but still, id rather not move too much of high tier gear to BR3 as long as it can fight the BR2.
Maybe few more years of collecting data and they lock BR2 too
75mm puma could maybe work in br 3 but definitely not br 4. It is open top, paper armour and br 3 cannon. In br 4 germany has panthers that have better pen and better survivability. Puma does have better mobility but usually it is irrelevant when the maps are so small anyway
Previously I was against this, however since the recent announcement about removing BR1 from BR3 matchmaking, I believe panzerwefer can finally be moved down to br3
