AS-44 What is the point do we not care about historical accuracy anymore at this point

i know this feeling exactly when i play axis pacific, literally 70% if not more of the axis guns there are prototypes so they can compete against US forces, and many of us agreed that it is necessary so at least 30 campaign lvls can be there, devs wanted full auto fiesta and preserve character of the current enlisted

but these japanese guns are from ww2 era and use ww2 ammo, and are not OP or vastly superior to allied guns so its bearable and at least fun for axis and not pain for allies even when japanese forces suddenly use guns they wanted but not used

meanwhile free As-44 would be for faction that already has everything and has no need for extra weaponry beacause it possesed capable guns that are in the game already,

No one is crying for a 1:1 counter of other factions, the AS-44 is nothing but a stupid copy paste of the StG44 because devs wanted to lazy and add new levels from already existing assets.

When I made this suggestion, I never expected that it would lead to BS like this.

Maybe in a few years there will be AK VS AR in Berlin

Historical accuracy is a constant straw man that gets thrown around every time somebody doesnā€™t like that a specific faction gets a new, subjectively better weapons.

People should just come out and say what they really feel about the subject.

Personally I think that there is too much emphasis on full auto, fast paced rush gameplay that is only exacerbated by the constant influx of new automatic weapons. The only classes that should get automatic weapons should be assaulters and machine gunners, and the number that can be used in a match should be limited.

Historical accuracy for Berlin is already out of the window like how the Germans are able to have enough fuel and spare parts for their tanks alongside planes as by the time the fighting reaches on the center, Berlin was already fully encircled at this point.

Might as well add SKS, T-44 and IS-3 at this point or if we go further, the prototype AK-46 from Kalashnikov which was the competitor to the AS-44 and the predecessor of the famous AK obr 1947.

Oh yeah. Why not hate the devs for giving the Germans the Panzer III B, ZH or the Tommy the A13 or the Birgers the outphased shells for the 75mm cannons because they are so strong?

Game features =/= Guns and vehicles that were or not were not there
How long are you going with that rotting strawman?

Great, maybe add E100, V1 missile, me262, Fritz X, Sturmtiger or 105mm Tiger II

Maybe we can learn COD and add 100 rounds magazine to AVT-40 and FG42-2, guaranteed super cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

I have mixed feelings on ahistorical weapons and equipment, and personally try to limit my setups to the more common weapons of the time. Thatā€™s not to say I never use experimental guns, just that I try not to equip entire lineups with them.

Thatā€™s not really my point though. My point is that people use the historical argument as a straw man for things they donā€™t like for other reasons. All Iā€™m saying is be honest with your arguments so we can get to the meat of the issue.

There are dozens of guns that rarely get mentioned as ahistorical because they arenā€™t meta and nobody pays attention to them. People are so selective with that argument that it loses itā€™s meaning.

Just say you donā€™t want the Soviets to get another assault rifle, Iā€™m not even saying they should: I think itā€™s another cheap filler because they ran out of real guns years ago and they need to keep adding easy content.

Iā€™d rather see new maps and objectives and game features, but itā€™s quicker to pop out another gun and people complain if itā€™s been more than a month without a new shiny to play with.

Iā€™m hoping for modern conflicts, such as Vietnam, Korea, etc.

There was an event with modern equipment too. One day I wouldnā€™t be surprised Enlisted dabbles in those era as well.

A bit like Warthunder. Started early ww2, then Korea era, then today vehicles.

Weā€™ve crashed into the realm of fantasy so letā€™s bring all the wonder weapons out

If you like Warthunder a bit, itā€™s not so different, about 33% of the vehicles found there are paper vehicles.

Itā€™s fine. Because honestly, the historical accuracy debate is outdated, there has been anachronistic things forā€¦ well since release, and knowing Enlisted will undergo a complete Warthunder conversion (battle rating, combined factions, any map playable), itā€™s a bit pointless, silly even, to be surprised about it now.

Most vocal ppl WANTED this during the announcement of the conversion, soā€¦

Gotta enjoy Enlisted for what it is: a fun, stress reliever (inducing???) ARCADE game. Itā€™s not a milsim like Arma. Itā€™s not close to Red Orchestra anymore. Itā€™s chaotic goofiness like the regretted Heroes & Generals (I miss this silly game. Tlm can eat a d*** for killing the IP.)

Why bother with the Panzer III B if it didnt bother the devs two years ago and instead try and go with the latest x?
I also donā€™t know speaking of the AS if that argument makes sense since the Fedorov exists. And speaking od Fedorov, I saw plenty of people who say that it has ridiculous stats is pout of place, and exists for no reason both in Berlin and Moscow (there it only exists to counter the time travel Mkb).

Long story, short end: Most ahistorical free stuff only creates new issues and doesnā€™t solve issues or worse they put free and logical stuff such as the StuG behind a paywall for no reason. The SF issue is also not even a historical accuracy issue but just stupidity because they only exist to make Radioman II existence not pointless.

Why do you keep bringing that tank up? What does it have to do with this argument? I know is anachronistic in Moscow, but whatā€™s your point?

Your whole post is just a jumble of ideas that donā€™t make any sense to me

Your point was that historical accurcay is used as bias argument or whatever against OP stuff or so.

Whats the secret in uisng it together with the B?

I hope they extend to further conflictsā€¦in about 5 years. So much to flesh out in current time period.

Also hope there is a MM break between ww2 and Korea, unlike warthunder.

Yeah, itā€™s really my only, but huge fear. Without a clean separation of the 2 erasā€¦ I donā€™t even want to think about it.

On the other spectrum, Iā€™d really like ww1 stuff as well. or very low br things, like pz1.

I like the idea of low BR light vehicles/scout vehicles (mg platforms). I use the panzer I in Call to arms to ambush mass infantry.

Or the heavy armourred version lol

Maps perhaps too small, but would get some use out of it in tunisia and maybe moscow

Yep, 30 low BR things everyone would ignore anyway.
