hehe
I tried this road before, a few years ago, they not fussed, much easier to take the cookie from them.
Complains about AI.
Gets recommended to try lone fighters
Immediately rejects it despite it being everything he asked for including the vehicle AI and whatnot.
Refuses to accept any opinion that does 100% not align with his own and brings up a small survey with a very biased sample size in response to most of them.
Gets laughs at for being difficult.
Hmm, I wonder why people stopped being so civil after all that.
Im sorry but if your stats say that you only have 10 hour of game time tracked I am less inclined to trust your opinion is any more valid than that.
Even if CBT time was not tacked it doesnt mean you played much recently at all to compare that muchâŚ
silly question, how do you know 10h, how you find that out?, didnât see him post stats?/thought you could only see time if he posted?, just asking/curious, to where you find that.
is that a total time or recently tracked, as i only been back 14 days, after 2nd rage quit
how many i got?
AI hasnt changed fundemantally since cbt.
All they did was tweaking reaction and shooting accuracy rates.
There are 2 possible explanations for this;
- Dev team is not capable of coding proper ai
- they want to keep this game as a bot farming simulator
if you do that you will lose half the good players in matches
Thank you for providing accurate information and remaining impartial.
The game will lose some PVE-oriented players who are not skilled in PVP for sure (I need you to clarify; are âhalf of the good playersâ those who shoot standing still sandbags just to feel ego?), however, the PVP community is much larger and will gain a significant amount of players in the longer term.
There are two ways to dev to go:
-
If the developers are able to significantly improve the gameâs AI, it could result in a unique and enjoyable gameplay experience. However, if they are unable to make these improvements, it may be best for them to remove the AI altogether.
-
Without proper AI, the game may suffer a similar fate as Heroes & Generals, or we may see full of empty servers in Sandstorm.
Ok, OP your idea has been tried officially tried before,. way back in CBT a new mode for enlisted came out, it was called âlone fighterâ and it functioned EXACTLY as your are requesting now; it was a 20v20 with no AI for you to order around outside vehicles. however, the mode wasnât that popular as seen with many people complaining that AI players, Ai that is meant to fill player slots, were wide spread. this issue was caused because there wasnât enough people to populate the 4 sides in the 2 campaigns. the issue only got worse after the release of berlin, so they tried to revamp it by making it like codâs hardcore yet this to failed to bring the mode back to life. until the month after tunisia was released they swapped it out for custom matches seeing that it wasnât a playerbase for it
Tl;dr: your idea was tried by the devs, it showed that a vast majority of the player base preferred AI squad mates
War Thunder faced a similar situation until they promoted the game on Steam. Itâs all about targeting the right audience with the right-well-cooked product & marketing strategy.
You can still play your lone fighter.
But thatâs not your point, you just want to argue pointlessly. You canât admit that someone else is right. And as soon as thereâs some random dude who fits your narrative. You immediately take advantage of it and use what he said as a completely objective fact without any need of verification.
This is really ridiculous. All I see is pure hypocrisy.
As a certified Black Belt Lean Sigma Expert, I can confirm that based on the statistical graph, it seems that the gameâs flow turned out to be Titanic. The number of players went down from 1.7 million to 500k, and some kiddos above claimed most of the player base didnât want Lonefighter mode, etc. The game initially attracts new players through its atmosphere and graphics, and the idea of having a squad for the shorter-term game gains players. However, later on, when most players discover the disappointment in the gameâs AI, indestructible buildings, and limited map zones, they tend to stop playing.
Some individuals make uneducated comments without thinking logically. I have concluded my writing and leave the rest to the community and developers.
this is when i joined
lol, there are a ton of reasons that can explain the drop in players:
-Getting discouraged by the grind.
-Disliking the campaign system.
-Getting seal clubbed too much.
-Getting disappointed by the slow updates and fixes.
And itâs a f2p game after all, most people playing this game probably arenât that attached to it anyway and just try it out once or twice.
Also there is very little marketing. I think they even stopped doing warthunder cross promos at some point. So even less new blood coming in, regardless of any game design issues.
Dismissing all of the aspects of why games can fail and reducing it to some singular issue without any further proof is just plain ignorant.
And stating that other people are just not thinking logically enough to see your unreasoned reasoning is just plain arrogant.
What a surprise when a game has the most players during its release. And after that, the number of players decreases. Truly an anomaly in the gaming industry.
And youâre acting like the game hasnât had a stable playerbase for years.
And I am not even mentioning this is completely off topic to your original suggestion.
He really tries to elevate himself above others at all costs. Thinking it will somehow make his prior opinion/statement/suggestion more relevant.
While still being more or less completely wrong about everything.
I bet heâll bring up yet again something completely unrelated to the topic, only to use it as another âargumentâ. Just so he doesnât have to admit heâs wrong, or that someone else is right.
however, the PVP community is much larger and will gain a significant amount of players in the longer term.
Based on what ? Do you actually have statistics of this PVP community ? Is there some discord server where this PVP community gather ?
called âlone fighterâ and it functioned EXACTLY as your are requesting now; it was a 20v20 with no AI for you to order around outside vehicles.
To be fair id like to get lone fighter / wolf what ever it was called, but it was quite poorly made.
Technically just squads, without AI with same restrictions as regular squads game.
Back in days when I tried it, artillery had cooldown of 3s ? And there was no restrictions to it.
Same with vehicles if I recall, so it was pretty much just spam all-around.
With some tweaking it could have been actually a worthy gamemode but it was quite lazily done.

CSgo now cs2 actually has just increased playerbase since release.
Only mentioning this because I want to see where this PVP community gentleman takes this strawman.
War Thunder faced a similar situation until they promoted the game on Steam
do you really, really think this game, ENLISTED that is, is ready for a steam release? you know there is no moderation in steam reviews, right?
btw,
Itâs the PVP community players that keep the game alive
this is a wrong assesment. the pvp community players are the ones that most switch sides to use the highest, strongest, best, most efficient equipment. top PVP players IN ANY GAME always go for the bleeding edge in performance, min-maxing to the extreme, cause it feels needed for ârealâ competition.
by swapping to the most played faction, which is always the one perceived to be the strongest, that very same âPVP communityâ are forcing themselves to play against bot filled enemy teams. dont you see the catch 22 here?
you cant really expect that all pr0 MLG PVP players go to the strongest side, and the non-pr0 filthy casuals play the underpowered side, to be properly farmed by the before mentioned.
maybe, actually, the majority of the community of this game likes to play a PvPvE game, which is what this kind of games are called nowadays.
The game will lose some PVE-oriented players who are not skilled in PVP for sure (I need you to clarify; are âhalf of the good playersâ those who shoot standing still sandbags just to feel ego?), however, the PVP community is much larger and will gain a significant amount of players in the longer term.
Half the time i am in the top third if not the middle third of any match usually on the winning team, i do not think smart AI is going to help you with arty, bombs, or grenades. Be honest you want either aimbots that can pick someone off across the map or to hide under cover so you can use them as spare lives otherwise you would just play solo.
smart AI is going to help you with arty, bombs, or grenades
Like not running into arty barrages while they are happening because their path forces them to? Or cooking certain grenades so the enemy canât throw them back in time? How about AI attempting to take cover when attack planes are dive-bombing their position?
Oh sure, consider their priority is pushing a new Premium than fixing the game properly, I see how long that âBetaâ stage gonna stay

what AI in any game ever has had that level of intelligence and what NASA grade DeepBlue crag computer would you need to run it.
