AA Guns being used as anti-infantry

well, at stalingrad they actually used AA defences against the germans, and manage to slow them down in order to let the tank groups to former a counter attack and even get to finish the two t34 in production.

on the other side of the world, just in afrika, the germans found out that the flak 88 it’s good to be used against infantry and tanks due to it’s HE and great AP.

in the game, kinda works like the same, not to take out tanks, but surely to detrack them, and buy some times for your friendly to gather around and attack/defend.

as a war thunder 251/10 enjoyer,

( so for speak: )

it has 3.5 seconds of reload.

2.9 if crew it’s fully upgraded.

so, yeah, it’s quite fast.

capable of penning kv1s.

best weapon of the game.

don’t joke about that

( i mean that’s a fine machinery right there )

The reason this is happening is that MGs were pulled from engineer 1.

Give them their MGs back and people won’t be resorting to the absurdity of placing AA guns in hallways and bunkers.

and the function of boompack is to destory bunkers and trenches while i still use it as bigger nade
FUNCTION DOES NOT MAKE THE ONLY VIABLE USE

it would be less absurd if the flak gun built wasn’t a flakvierling.

I’m bothered at how you’re able to build AA guns indoors covering a whole hallway. But besides that AA guns shooting at infantry is totally fine. That’s pretty much like the Pz II or the T-60 shooting infantry.

Wait the pacific campagni :flight_arrival:

it,s war dude. still it,s quite OP a anti air weapon, maybe 1 anti air gun per squad will disencourage it? exactly has the anti tank gun?

AA guns being used as AA guns is sure an exercise in futility so I think it’s pretty funny that so many people are using them them against infantry. Its a good way to get some use out of something that the devs put in the game that is otherwise useless.

It seriously makes me chuckle every time I see it.

still, if we have one less AA gun. maybe we can get HMG to fight infantry? i also thick it,s fair to have 1 AA for enginer squad MORE ammo double maybe. and HMG can be build by any squad but 1 HMG per squad. that will be nice.

Since MG nest is (rightfully) exclusive for late game engineer squads, I think it’s safe to assume that asking for a HMG for every squad is too much.

Besides, even if they added it, it would end up being either OP against infantry, or probably nerfed in accuracy and thus become useless against planes.

Hasn’t been the case since they were invented - customary usage is such that the St Petersburg Declaration of 1868 (prohibiting explosive projectiles of less than 400gm weight) no longer has any effect.

i was hitting mainly on the “…continue to be used in anti-infantry roles to this day” part… 20mm is prohibited against infantry by Geneva Convention. it’s an exploding round.

as for WW1-WW2, those mfers just went full send with everything lol

You are talking out of your ass. No it’s not.

only thing you could argue is proportionality and that’s easily rationalized.

you should stop posting because you are readily revealing how much an idiot you are.

Rule 78 prohibits exploding BULLETS (as rule 77 prohibits expanding bullets) - not shells.

These days 20mm projectiles are unlikely to be regarded as bullets, and as I said, customary use for many decades has not seen any attempt to prosecute anyone for using them vs infantry.

… you are aware that a “shell” is just another another word for “casing” correct? Rule 78 doesn’t prohibit exploding shells because that wouldn’t go over very well for the people shooting the rounds lolol.

using explosive rounds against infantry is illegal. you won’t see people get prosecuted for what’s not reported. it’s not like a bunch of politicians are hanging over our shoulder in country… it’s whatever gets debriefed and reported.

lmao you always throw in some little personal attack at the end of your comments too lolol. son, who tf hurt you!? grow up peter pan.

yeah sure im talkin out my ass lmao. how many post deployment debriefings have you sat though?
