I don’t think so. They were used well into 1945. In the early war they served the purpose of LMG to fill in the gaps where there were not enough MG-34s, and in the late war they served the same purpose when production of other weapon systems ground to a halt.
On top of that, if we look at the tech tree we can see the Soviets have the Maxim Tokarev and the Americans have the Browning 1919. The MG-08/15 would be the direct German Analog to this.
I’m not saying other weapons shouldn’t be added, just not at the expense of the MG-08/15. It would make the most sense.
The MG42 is required for the research tree with its Max Rate of Fire and 250 Belt.
Why would we give a tech tree item a bunker belt that would never be issued to infantry gunners?
I understand what you mean dude but see not everything has to be similar in power level and as Joe mentioned Mg42 is one of the most iconic weapon of War and based on numbers alone a German soldier in 1945 had a higher chance of running Mg34 or 42 (~1 mil combined were made) than MG 08-15(~130 k were made) also the game doesent have 1 to 1 faction weaponry so why this should be the one that follows it like I said Germans don’t have RD-44 equivalent and allies don’t have AR’s I don’t think adding a MG is going to make the balance worse unless it is made to be extremely OP but ehh while I care enough to argue MG 42 or 34 should be the ones I also believe devs in the end will decide what happens BTW number argument and used arguments are completely baseless seeing as Soviets get AS-44 so any MG that devs feel is fine is OK with me even if it was only one of prototype though I don’t see problem with the 08-15 it’s just its bizarre for Germany other than that I can see it being added as a cool event weapon
The AS-44 was not used and is in the Game, the MG42 does not give it its corresponding characteristics

If you want a copy/paste gun in addition to the 0815 that’s fine, I have no real opinion on it. I just don’t think the 08/15 should be sacrificed to get it.
It’s not that the weapon is hated, it’s just that the MG 08/15 is for Tier III, not Tier V. The weapon is totally inferior to the MG34, not to mention the MG42, where it is worse positioned due to having less rate of fire and ammunition.
No, you are wrong. The MG-08/15 would be the equivalent of the Browning M1919 and Maxim-Tokarev (which like the MG-08 was based off the Maxim MG). Both of these weapons are BRV weapons, and the MG-08/15 would be BRV as well.
It would only be equivalent if we put it in the Allied or Soviet research tree. The MG 08/15 is a good light machine gun, but it falls short when you put it in the same tree.But when compared to the other German light monsters it seems that it has to stay in Tier III as it is completely inferior to the monsters I am going to mention.
MG42,MG45,MG81,MG81Z,MG39,MG34/41,MG34,MG15 All of these weapons can carry a 250-bullet magazine, they load quickly and their rate of fire is monstrous, even reaching 2800-3200,1800,1500,1320,1300,1200,900. The MG 08/15 falls short against those light machine guns that are worthy of being Tier IV-V. In conclusion, the MG 08/15 is for Tier III, not for Tier V as you want it to be.
Rest assured that I will use the MG 08/15 for my Africa Korps as it is a good Light for Tier III

The MG81Z is like the Japanese Tier V light weapon in that it has two cannons, only it does not mention that each weapon has a rate of fire of 1400-1600 each.

You can look for the MG81Z Variant which is the Same as the MG81 But only the Z Version has two Cannons
