Would you like the Mg34's hand placement corrected?

I have no idea why would Gaijin have it so you place your hand on the barrel during firing of the mg34 as the barrel is a hot metal burning your hand. in Red Orchestra 2, i recall you are meant to place your hand just above the trigger, close to the wood stock to stablizine it under the barrel forward on the trigger part.

I noticed the MG42 also has the hand placed on the barrel. Basically it looks like all MG’s must be reviewd. You could start with the MG34 first to see how it turned out.

Probably because you are standing and firing in game and those historic photos they are all prone or braced with the bipod out

Hello, I am also in prone position and the hand is clearly on the barrel. Even when I mount “b” key it still has it on the barrel. I have mounted the mg34 on a surface that’s not prone, such as a window frame or wooden frame at chest level and i still see the hand on the barrel on my end

Fair point, it should change if in the supported or bipod position

Yes I mean if you are moving around with it, sure hand can go on barrel as now but fortunatly during the usage, I can’t see any logic having your hand on a hot barrel. This is what I am experiencing on my end.

Prone (not mounted) hand on barrel

Here I am mounted on a wall chest height but still seeing the hand on barrel.

The shadow here is showing again while mounted in prone the hand on barrel.
