I just found a Japanese hunting catalog from Taisho 2(1913),it proves that Japan did purchased this gun. Since Japan doesn’t have any pistol caliber carbine such as Berreta 1918/30 , KP-B-135 and S&W Light Rifle, it would be a good option for br1.It’s basically a Winchester 1907 with smaller .35SL cartridge.
.35SL (8.9x29mmSR) vs .351SL(8.9x34mmSR)
Despite the low ammo capacity(5- round detachable magazine), the .35SL cartridge is more powerful compare to other br1 pistol caliber carbine. Since the hit power is lower than Winchester 1907(12.6),the damage could lower to 9 -10 .
Think about it. With the current pace of new content releases, the developers only add one weapon to each faction’s TT every ~ half-year. Are you sure you want to wait that long to get useless junk instead of something truly useful? Japan currently has a huge number of gaps in its TT.
Well, BR1 is mostly abandoned in general by now, a lot of the guns are for BR2/3 o BR4/5 and matchmaking doesn’t help either, Japan needs a better semi auto and SMG in BR3, at least one semi auto in BR4, a better assault rifle and MG in BR5, as a lot of other things
At least for my perspective, the ROF is ok but damage is not enough, especially against body armor or combat in medium distance, this is more noticeable facing the Thompsons and PPSH/PPD with drum magazine in BR4 (wich i see a lot in BR3/4)
