Why is it that only the IS2’s protective network can defend against AT weapons, and why can’t the German 4H 4J’s group armor defend against AT? You have to consider the balance!

But does it actually work?
Yeah, also reacted when I read that.
Don’t think it actually matters at this point. Maybe in the future?
Would be nice if someone can clarify this.
I don’t think it works on the T-34 that has it…
Yeah. Not working on any vehicle right now.
Schürzen work in game
but it doesn’t work against panzerfausts.
It has a cumulative charge if anything the space between the add on armor and the actual armor helps the cumulative jet focus more and have more penetration as a result, so it actually has a negative effect on protection against cumulative weapons if it hits closer to a 90° angle.
Because it shouldn’t be working. It was complete nonsense, just placebo effect thing.
If it’s actually working on is2, it’s just classic gaijin bias.
Was more thinking of the wire-mesh skirts or slat armor you see on some panzer in this game.
those beds shouldn’t actually avoid HEAT damage at all as well as Pz’s screen (but screens might be angled). wish i could dismount that crap.
historical tip: beds were placed more like moral support for crew, even despite most losses durint last year were due to artillery, but not grenade launchers. what about panzer’s screens-they were created against AT rifles
Just ask the Russians about how cages work against rockets and missiles.
it’s more like “testias”.
Nonsense.
Well. That was their main task to defend tanks against AT rifles (mainly PTRD and S).
But they didnt work against HEAT and most US warheads.
Probably just over the top description. T-34-85E has the same cage armor and it doesnt work against the Fäuste except maybe against nuke packs.
Im just wondering why that one is the main unlock and another premium.
Not intended for heat, still if spaced far enough from the actual armor it absolutely had a positive effect on protection against heat.
Where are you getting those informations from?
Ehm That was my point?
Do I also need to spell it out that they were not designed against HEAT now?
I only read somewhere that the first Zookas and warheads sometimes struggle against the Schürzen but thats it.
Does it only work against AT rifles or also against AT launchers? If I remember correctly, the gold order version of the Panzer IV/70 on Berlin has a form of this protection too, but it doesn’t seem to matter.
Also I will note that it doesn’t seem to matter too much because at this point, more people carry and use explosive packs than AT specific weaponry.
If those were actually limited in some way, the AT weaponry might start getting used again.
Afaik the normal one has Schürzen but the gold order is just blank.
