Berlin, as an urban campaign, is probably the worst place for a tank destroyer.
The SU-85M doesn’t even have a machine gun. I’d much rather see a STUG III and an M10 in Normandy and an IS-2 and Tiger in Berlin or maybe maps from the outskirts of Berlin added.
I haven’t played TDs yet, so I’d like to hear from other players on this.
it is obvious that in the future they will put several tank destroyers in all the campaigns, so you just have to be patient
Is2 and KT ARE coming in Berlin. But due to their potency and the facts they’re both icons as the most powerful vehicles avaible for both factions, I’m guessing they might be lvl 40 unlocks

All tds in berlin are amazing. With or without MG.
They are intended to be used more passive against other tanks. And they do their job quite well if I say so my self.
I do own both premium tank squads on both sides. So having a td on the free tank slot isn’t a bad trade.
The more I play with them, the more I enjoy tank VS tank battles in berlin.
The trick, with them, is the placement and the timing to take a shot
I Prety much know all friendly and enemy tank spawn in all campaigns at any given objective.
I just place my self to counter tanks, and only tanks when I play with a td.
Firing he or mgs, will only make you vulnerable to be spotted by sound, smoke, traces or kill feed.
Once you kill an enemy tank, move to another position right away to avoid a counter by another tank, plane or a tnt user.
The only complain I have with them, it’s the lack of a unique squad for them to be played with in berlin.
I have to trade an amazing panther or t34 for a td. But since I do own the premium variants, I don’t mind it and I m starting to love them more and more against other tanks.
Su, it’s more effective against other tanks than a t34.
Pz4iv70 and the event tank after the sight fix, are powerfull variants if placed well.
Amazing tanks, lots of fun, and relax time when I spawn them.
I enjoy Tds. It’s really like hunting a dangerous prey. You got to be stealthy and fire only when you’re certain to cause lethal damage.
Maybe I’m too focused on winning by being effective in battle rathar than enjoying gameplay variety. That means that for me the prime focus is on taking and defending objectives given that the clock is ticking.
That’s why I avoid weapons that I deem ineffective to that end.
It does sound like fun gameplay even if you waste time by camping your TD against tanks instead of slaughtering the infantry.
That’s true.
As we play, we know where exacly to shot on all enemy tanks. The timing to shot them and be able to shot another one befor they even get a chance to shot us, makes them a perfect hunting machine.
Oh, it’s not a waste of time. Some teams you will face LOVE to spam tanks. You will help your side a LOT by taking them out.

You have to consider I have all the campaigns full. So I don’t mind the match outcome over my fun at current game stage.

You could if you enjoy tank play. After Berlin it’s the most balanced place for tanking. Pretty fun. Eheh it was the best place before the devs tweaked pz4 in Berlin a bit, back when it was just t34 food.
One day you should give the armored version a try if your wallet decides to open.
Right now it’s the perfect time for it. Will be an obsolete tank once is2 see the day light again tho.

One thing it’s sure. I don’t die as often with a single pen as the normal version. It does sustain Alot of t34 shots.
So the 75/32 M41, is that a TD?, and if it is, that’s in Tunisia atm, so its not only berlin there in.
I will say, wasn’t happy with the thought of, no MG on it, maybe like to see some HE for Inf, lol, but have been lvling it, a bit of late, and i find it does its job very well, as mention above.
Semovente is SPG, soo it you can say it is TD. Same goes for M10, that is TD too.
m10 was also referred to as TD by us troops
