Why are people so against Tunisia

I played with a bunch of people, some play axis some allied, when in a group I rotate campaign choice, based on what group members want.

I am levelling up Tunisia, but when speaking to some, the players said they were told to avoid Tunisia by their friends, I asked why, they just said it was a crap campaign.

But when we all played together, it turned out they hadn’t even tried it, it was just what they had been told.

State one reason below why you don’t like Tunisia.

It might be Engineer level 9
Fighters lack of ordanance
Axis lack of players
Choice of equipment for one faction
Don’t like desert maps?

If this is not derailed too badly will share with Devs.

It just surprised me, some people hate after just one match or hate before even trying it…

Best Campaign with Past Days of Moscow.

Maps are Big. Could be Bigger.
Bolts 1337
Maybe Someday Tiger
Super Designed Villages!

I love it

I hate Tunisia because of the same unlocks in terms of weaponry, the worse thing is that some of the weaponry is absolutely bad and unbalanced. I’ll give you an example. M1 thompson vs OVP.

In terms of playerbase? well 95% of the players in any campaign are terrible and can make any decent player’s blood boil, so not a Tunisia issue only.

I just dont like the maps. They lack decent cover mostly, there arent even shell craters.

Engineers are level 9 as well

Unlocks are quite similar but that isnt my problem. My problem is the lack of unique maps.

“Hey go capture a desert house”

“Now go capture another desert house”

“Capture a desert palace”

“Capture bunker”

Thats it, not that unique and most buildings and assets are recycled.

The maps are what make or break a campaign to me. That why i want Stalingrad. Because its maps are going to be amazing

Personally I play Tunesia almost exclusively.

I like that there is not a shit ton of run and gun gameplay like in other campaigns (there is still plenty of it).
You can use flanks more than in other campaigns and it’s worth it.
Tanks can be powerful yet not camp in the grey zone.
Maps look great, there are a lot of details.
There is focus on using bolt action rifles instead of semi/full auto spam.

Tbh there is nothing I can complain about that is Tunesia specific (except high lvl engi). All problems it has are also problems of other campaigns.

OVP vs Thompson? I got both and they are both Great, not for Long Range but before Shotguns get their Buffs, the OVP was my Shotgun.
BTW Prone it and it will get 0 Recoil (OVP)

Thompson well… Its a Thompson of 4 in this Campaign with Gold Order
In Normandie they Cry about Thompson because Late Lvl29/32 Unlock.

‘Engineer at level 9’ is what I don’t like the most about the Tunisian Campaign. Engineers are so important not just in gameplay, but also in leveling up squads. Engineers must be given earlier in Tunisia.

The objectives in Berlin are much more recognizable like the Moltke Bridge, Kroll Opera House, Reich Chancellery, Lehter Bahnhof, etc instead of some random house or some other building like a church on other campaigns have its own unique flavor.

Hopefully Stalingrad will have some recognizable locations too.

I love Tunisia, it’s actually my favorite campaign. It’s got perfect map size, long range engagements, less run and gun as someone else stated. You don’t have to 100% zerg rush the objective to win. I actually like the equipment in Tunisia. Honestly I could say I played Tunisia first and then complained about other campaigns having repetitive gear, it goes both ways, Tunisia isn’t magically the only campaign with repetitive gear when all 3 others have them too.

Here’s why people actually hate it - they can’t run and gun like little cod players and rack up easy un skillfull kills by spraying automatic fire with little repercussions as easily.

personally when i imagine the tunisian campaign in a video game i remember hidden and dangerous 2 and call of duty 2, panzers 2, man of war etc … endless desert, battles in the dunes, firefights on the rocky hills, the struggle for the possession of old fortresses in the desert, it can be said that enlisted has everything but it hasn’t made it work properly there is always that feeling that it is wrong in some way and does not give the same hype as the games above mentioned

I do agree, it’s too much buildings buildings buildings only, and this can be said for every other campaign (besides berlin) that too many battles are exclusively held around random houses with absolutely no strategic value. We need more “wild” maps, ya know, open fields, woods, and as you said rocky hills etc.

The last campaign added to game (in F2P ways, so grind is required to all players).
Due to campaign/faction tech tree barrier, few players want to grind again. And lacking interesting things.

Too large and empty maps. Plus late engineer unlock. Plus lower density combat. And bad AI pathfinding. Causing much lower reward than other campaign.
Thus much fewer players in this campaign. And causing even worse experience to those who want to play this campaign.

In most matches I played, it’s extreme boring or even frustrating. You may be captured 1~2 sectors without even seeing an enemy. Or get crashed by enemy due to they have some humans, but you are alone. And players there are often newbie or just not willing to play.

Though Tunis’ scenery is the best of all 4 campaign. Clear weather. Colorful plants. No smoke or fog.

Copy+paste arsenal.
Weird starter tanks which didnt saw usage.
Weird hitboxes.
Level 8 engineer.
No bombs or rockets for fighters.
Players always pick one side.
Bikes and digging is useless.

Dont get me wrong. Tunisia has its good sides too (Britains and first campaign with smoke arty) but rn the negative aspects have a big impact on the game (especially the faction-imbalance) to make me enjoy the matches. Dont like ez wins, especially as defender.

Could have been the best ended up being the worst.

personally, i don’t really hate it, but i just avoid it.

reasons being, lvl 9 engy, and i guess i’m not really interested because it turned out to be different than i expected. if halftracks were a thing, you would see me more there than anywhere else. but i’m working on a possible suggestion about. either way, the other problem that i have is, we use way " primitive " equipment.

i expected to start with valentines tanks and pz III.
( but i suppose that’s where they are poiting for. )

same with stalingrad. i get that it’s 1942. but starting with pz II and t-26 flame tanks?

something tells me we will get other variants of pz II, then III and if we are lucky, some t34 and pz IV.
but we’ll see.
going too much off topic here.

My favorite campaign.
Good weather make me happy (comparing to Berlin).
Big maps are great for Italy to Blitz.
Interesting weapons such as ovp1918 and m38/42.
It is true the campaign is not so balanced in terms of weapons and tanks. Allies are tougher than the axis when axis players are not at full level. However once axis players are maxed out they will find it great to fight with maxed out allies. M38/42 is better than m21/28 from 25m to 100m, while MG34+ZB26 is truly powerful than the bar.
People hate Tunisia mainly because the maps are big, but it is just because maps are big people can utilize their motorcycles, ab41 and the trucks to rush the enemy points(this is esspecially good for Italians). Also, the fact that there are no automatic rifles in this campaign has made it diverse from other campaigns.
People needs to find out the best way in playing Tunisia rather than blaming it.
BTW Oasis is really an amazing map.

I do enjoy it actually. But it was just my second played campaign. Engineers being a relatively late unlock is one pretty big nuisance about it but yeah.

Tunisia plays different than the other campaigns. Someone posted you have to learn to play there and it’s really true. Smoke artillery and digging were introduced here because there is more space and less cover. I think the biggest reason people say to avoid Tunisia is the unwillingness to grind another campaign for similar weapons. I found the gunplay very different favoring bolt actions and more skill required on mid-long range SMG use but properly placed MGs (with limited rounds) devastating more than other campaigns. The tank play here I also found unique and refreshing compared to Berlins “fire first and win” experience. Planes are annoying but not required leaving the meat of Tunisia about smoke, distracting, thoughtful angles of surprise and more strategic than the other campaigns but it is the slowest paced

It’s my second favorite campaign. Engineers locked behind a lot of grind is pretty painful, though. One would think the campaign is old enough for that to not be a problem (as in there should be enough engineers around for you to need them in your squad), but somehow it doesn’t work like that.
