Yeah, if only this game was reserved to you and your little club, without all the subhumans who dare to have opinions. All the issues would have been resolved then. Pfft. -_-

Except you need specific squad for that, which results in almost no smoke artillery being used in majority of the games…
In fact, ever since I finished grinding radio squad and thus moving on, I have seen only very few smoke artilleries used by other players. Not to mention that not even smoke artillery often convinced players to move forward, or at least change the damn positions no matter how safe it is.
So, this is actually a mechanic that can be used only by people who purchased the slots… (of course, unless you want to give up one of your three precious slots for that) not really a great thing to design a map around, right?

If smoke arty wasn´t radio squad specific, we would probably have much better time in Tunisia in this aspect.

As for digging… I saw no one ever using that feature in Tunisia, you can´t even properly hide rally in these holes in most situations. I only have shovels equipped on few soldiers for “just in case scenario” that is however even more rare than usage of smoke artillery on battlefield.

Digging is pointless. It takes forever, especially as defender you barely have enough time to fortify the points before first wave arrives. Also AI cant handle holes/ self-made trenches and dont use them as cover. The best you can do with them is using them as cover for beacons but placing them there can be tricky and/ or time-connsuming (where you could also jsut place the beacon behind sandbags and tank traps).
Digging COULD be usefull (especially in Tunisia) but rn the game is way too fast.

I think people dislike it’s slower average pace but, for me, I like it. It’s good to have a change of pace and I like that it gives more incentives for longer ranged fighting. Give me a radioman with a carcano on the defense and I’ll spend my time sniping (or attempting to snipe, if it’s that kind of morning lol). Plus the armored warfare is more mobility focused in Tunisia which is a big plus too.

The only critiques I really have for it is that it’s got a smaller playerbase and that engineers take a while to unlock - the latter of which is kind of huge given the larger map size and that there’s a lot of ground that’s got no cover

Actually if you have managed to get max level for Axis, then with the central idea of blitz attack you will find this campaign profitable than many other lines. End game weapons are extremely tough in Tunisia(most people never reached lv20), allowing you to chop down enemies at a very fast pace.

I enjoy tunesia for the bolt action battles!

People still complaining. About eng at level 9, even. Tho on the other campaigns people unlock them earlier and still don’t use them.

Yeah, lol. But I think in Tunis having a rally point is a huge advantage (providing it’s not placed stupidly)

My favorite part of Tunis is that the Italian radioman will ask the artillery regiment for tomatoes and guacamole. Peak Italy feels

Think is more like what prevents the ten tactical players from playing the campaign.

Tunisia. Its probably one of my favorite campaigns after Berlin.
There is complaining about regrinding weapons and such, but I think most people do not realize that there were only so many types of Firearms used in WW2. Re unlocking them is inevitable. The game itself already takes a lot of artistic leisure in the types of firearms we use and how many we can use.
Tunisia actually offers a lot of good and interesting Italian weaponry. The Mod.39? I think its one of the best semi autos in the game once upgraded.
My only complaint is they could have used more Italian weapons instead of having premium squads.

Instead of the MP40, FNAB or M1918 would have been a better choice. Instead of the 98k, it should have been the Mannlicher M1895.
Heck even the Italians had a rifle grenade launcher which would have been much better than the 98k variant we got.

Onto the Camapaing itself.

What I like:

  • long firing lanes that make Bolt Actions not only relevant, but at times preferred. I still run fully upgraded M41s because the sights are good, and the gun works just fine. Yes you still at times need to get down and dirty in CqC but you can control lanes of fire at range better than any other map (namely because airpower is very secondary in Tunisia, unlike Normandy, where your lanes there can be deleted in a second by Air Power).

  • slower pace of play. I like that in between spawns I can actually think instead of focusing on the rush. For the most part at least. The lack of fully automatic dominance really shows itself well here.

  • Maps. Tunisia Maps allow a lot more flanking IMO than all other maps with some notable exceptions. I love being tactical and placing rally points on the extremes and then locking down a flank with heavy BA fire.

What I do not like:

  • Engineers at level 9. This was a categorical misstep by Darkflow. For a premium player like me, its an inconvenience, I will get there in fairly short order. For a F2P player, it takes a lot of work, and you have to be consistently good to get it in a reasonable time frame. This alone effects population (IMO) which in turn negatively effects the overall game play and enjoyment.

  • Motorcycles. While fun, and able to do some interesting things, mechanized infantry would have been far better suited to this campaign. The rider class’s IMO is a joke. Occasionally useful, but far superceded by just grabbing a Map placed vehicle and moving forward.

  • Destruction. I’ve never been a fan of this game mode, its just Zerg 2.0. I know its not longer Tunisia specific, but all the same it started here, and therefore I hold Tunisia accountable for it. Zone control would have been more appropriate for Tunisia.

Overall, I enjoy the campaign because it is different enough. I think that is what also throws some players off about it who are used to doing things a certain way that work on 3 campaigns and not this one.

There is room for improvement, but not much in my eyes.

As you can see I play both sides in Tunisia (btw all other campaigns are max level, except some squads) and I am about finishing (perhaps even today) to max out all squads on both sides, except 2nd fighters squads that are on both sides on level 13 right now (hard grind here without bombs or rockets).

For me lately I am not using that much Bolt Action rifles anymore, practically all my units use some sort of SA rifles, SMGs and MGs, I have only one Rifleman in squad that use BA rifle with grenade launcher. Yet I encounter about 90% players with much lower level equipment still using basic rifles, at least in EU servers.

Do I enjoy this campaign, well… it depends if my team is full of braindead players that don’t know what is their objective and they rather stay all around point they are supposed to defend, and when enemy team is starting to cap they just ignore it while you (I) do all the work to stop enemy inside.

Engineer lvl 9? So many times I can’t see anybody else than me building any rally points or anything at all when attacking / defending first cap point, then halfway battle a miracle starts, 2 or more other players on my team have some engineering points. This means that there are much more players with engineers in battles, but they simply don’t want to use them for something useful, but when there was this engineer event, oh boy… there were like 5 rally points and 10 ammo crates most of the time.

Maps are okay-ish, some are very balanced, but some were designed to be played one way, and later devs decided to put them in mode where battle starts from other side. On some maps there are cap points with so much open space around that you can’t make any viable rally point that will not be easily destroyed, especially by artillery fire or bombs and that’s a big minus for that.

Motorcycle squad… I grinded this thing to the max on both sides and will not touch it again, probably. There were battles where I was able to kill over 80 enemies without dying once, but I have my spots on some maps far away from battle, where I was relatively safe and just had to snipe enemies with MG fire, other than that it is completely useless squad.

Destruction mode that came with this campaign - just don’t like it, not hate it but don’t like it at all, I enjoy more Conquest than this mode.

Shovels, I tried to use it few times way back from now, I just switched them to Axes on all my units, not worth anything, especially with game pace, no time to dig anything useful.

Balance of battles, in my opinion there was some players shifting in last 2 months at least. With release of this campaign to OBT there was serious balance problem where Allies were winning like 80-90% of battles all the time (EU servers), now it’s more balanced, I would say it’s even more towards Axis this time around on EU servers as I switch sides almost daily, so I can see some pattern.

anyway, i dont play tunisia for the fact that i dont enjoy the italian weapons besides the fnab, tanks are meh and maps overall make the gameplay dull and boring.

i still compleated the campaign tho, but that its just to waste time untill more content arrives. not that i did enjoy a single match in tunisia so far.

tbh, the only time i m enjoying tunisia maps, is when i play them on custom matches with berlin axis gear.

Because they are racists

That still happens as much as any campaign. The problem is just getting to the objective and not having your squad picked off by people camping in windows everywhere. It´s basically Moscow without as much voliage aka visual cover. It feels like you´re trying to push a “Tunisia is a big boys campaign” narrative but this is still Enlisted wich is a casual shooter.

I actually like it. It has urban combat but not to the degree of Berlin where you can hide in every little nook and cranny or like Omer in Normandy where you can easily climb up to the roofs of houses and go ham. I prefer sunny maps over snowy ones as well. Also I love digging trenches. I in general love building fortifications but it’s a big plus that trenches aren’t undone with a single grenade. Also the Italian weapons are really fun to use.

The late engineer unlock is a big bummer tough and the fact that I literally unlock 3 different Thompsons for the allies makes me not want to play allies there. The most exciting unlocks on that side funnily are the early bolt-action weapons, since they are the only unique ones, literally everything else can be found in other campaigns besides the tanks.

Balance is another negative. After the Grant terrorising the Axis for a long time, the devs “Normandied” Tunisia by adding the Pz III for the axis, a tank, that has enough armor to be invincible to most tanks on the other side so they can just camp from the back. They don’t even have to worry about planes because they are really underwhelming and the AT guns generally suck on this campaign.

the game feels more like a airsoft simulation certain times, and if you just stop for a minute to watchthe scenario you will see somethings (like building, roads, walls) that doesnt really makes sense.

BFV is bad unrealistic yada yada yada but at least the feel was there

Just in general, it’s the lack of players (and kinda the engineers).
Tunisia is a blast if you can get 2 balanced teams, but that is very rare. Most of the time it’s boring cause 1 side has all the good players and stomps the other.
