Why Are People Like This?

An AI is better than this. Everyone just sat back there, doing nothing. They did not help the team the entire game.

We didn’t even take the first point. It’s funny, because the console players were the ones throwing around orders and trying to win.

Look, they moved a little. Still never helped the team. At one point I just decided it was a lost cause and messed around in my plane for the rest of the match. It’s annoying, since I had a booster, too.

Unfortunatly, as a player there is nothing we can do.

A little motivation could be implemented by the devs:

  • exp recieved while caping or being on the point.
  • more exp when the point is capped (right now it’s 100xp, which is about 3 kills). A x2 or x3 bonus could be a better motivation to play the objective.

I’d preffer:

  • less explosion spam on the point

I wouldn’t even mind if they were launching stuff or calling in strikes or so on, but they simply weren’t doing anything.

I’d prefer:

  • my squad not being immediately wiped by 10 highlevel guys

Op wishes for more AI , I think? I’m all for that and friendly fire from them, the artillery and bombs.

I wasn’t wishing for more AI, I was just making a point that they would be more effective than a team of people doing nothing.

Long range shooting must be harder than now…

That’s why you lost. It’s Murphy’s law, you had something worthwhile, of course it was bound to get ruined!

To a point I just ignore boosters completely, they’re usually attracting 5 to 7 minutes conquests (for me) :stuck_out_tongue:

I think the devs also need to give more EXP to the losing side, so many matches in this game are horrendously imbalanced because of the lingering playebase issues. Leave the incentive to stick it out and less people will jump ship and hopefully we’ll have more “Human Matches”.

Not saying it has the be 1:1 with the Winning bonus, but something better than fucking peanuts.

It’s THE main reason ppl leave matches:

  • You have a game with horrendous grinding required.

  • You give bonuses to the winning team (good) but nothing for the one who lost, even if they carried like devils.

So, when you KNOW the match is lost and won’t get that 50% xp bonus… why waste time? Desert and find another…

They should reward xp SOLELY based on how someone performs in match, and objectives. Then nobody would desert, as it wouldn’t matter, there would be no feeling of wasting time and xp.

Yup, just finished a dog shit worthless peanut payout match on Tenaru River (Allies). Worst fucking map I’ve ever seen, this is the devs lowest fucking work. I wanted to rage quit so fucking bad but I didn’t wanna surrender my XP Booster. Fucking shit map needs to be removed.

also the matchmaking is really bad,
newplayers fight against people that too op for them (not my case)

That in itself isn’t the biggest issue. I’ve played many games where all lvls players were mixed, and it was fine.

Now that all weaponry in Enlisted is useful thanks to ba buff buff and semis nerf reversal, even a new player can compete vs vets, if he has a bit of fps know how.

Makes matches interesting, always surprising.

However… The implementation of “ranks” is just plain stupid. Ppl now get the false impression that having the “Marshall” rank means being “good”, when it just means “plays enough to reach it”.

If ranks weren’t visible during match, ppl wouldn’t desert in fear (or laziness). Combined with the 50% xp bonus to the winning side, it just makes matches more uneven (because of desertion).

Remove ranks and xp bonus for winning side (or give xp bonus based on player’s usefulness instead) and suddenly that matchmaking issue wouldn’t be apparent anymore.

I’d even bet on it.

Then players like me would take the bonus 24/7 and the people that actually need them would strungle to get xp.

The issue isn’t xp… Doing good in batle one will rank fast and compleat a campaign in no time.

The issue is people just role-playing a bush 300 miles away expecting to grind faster.

If one wants to grind faster, it should be more active in-game.

But it is, thought. It’s the only reason I see why people would desert matches. Many, me included, don’t have as much free time as we’d want:

  • I just don’t have time to waste (I literally have no time) in a losing match, knowing I won’t get good xp, and worse, being an xp mine for the opposite side.

As those role-playing ppl goes… there will always be some. They probably enjoy doing so and will keep feeling safe in their lil bush…

There’s also the bad economy fact. Xp = bronze and silver. Bronze and silver have set values in gold. Gold is money. Therefore xp is money (time is money) and like the saying goes, not many have the luxury to waste it 🤷

Why would they struggle more? They would struggle less in truth, as they’d be rewarded for going for objectives and such, whatever the winning or losing side  (those who’d struggle would be those bush loving snipers, but it’s fine: nobody likes them!)

But the thing is/my point is that , the grind isn’t that bad on the bigger picture. As long as the player is active on the batles they take.

Looking at how most perform in batle, it’s understandable they have issues with the grind…

People need to press w. And don’t he afraid to die… Just that

Ence why I stated, that if they improved the xp rates or the way they reward cap zone action, it will only award players like me. Because most, are still 3000 meters away. And I don’t need the xp, they do.

Mmmh.

Shivex, I believe we think and say the same thing…

I’m saying ppl who go for objectives, or help their team win, should be the ones rewarded (maybe more xp, or something, that’s open for debate)

Like you I believe those who press “w” deserve rewards. Those who don’t? I couldn’t care less about them.

But. Ppl desert matches, way too easily, because of the current mechanics of the game:

  • there’s NO benefit, NO incentive whatsoever in remaining in a losing match with a bad team. Especially for those like me who can barely play 1 hour every 2 days (many ppl) Therefore the desertion problem.

It creates a “FOMO” problem.

Changing the xp rewards, removing the “winning team gets +50%” with instead "increasing xp/bronze/etc/whatever for players playing objectives, or helping out, like building stuff…

… Would remove this FOMO issue.

Because then, even if your team is losing… then so what? You play objectives, you defend/attack your best? You get rewarded accordingly.

I know that like me you remember those good old fps without xp progression like cod 1-2, red orchestra and so on… Ppl fought till the last ticket. They could focus on theyr ENJOYMENT. Not on bs things like “if we win I get good xp, if we lose I basically waste my time”.

I stayed more than 6 minutes on the base, the little blue dot that the team ennemy did not find, was me… most of my team was waiting to take a tank… it was that on the first two bases.

so I had the points partially because I died before the end of the capture… for the third base being disgusted with this situation, I took out the snipers, I raised my score rate a little because waiting several minutes for my team to arrive and try to stay on the base as long as possible it pays no score … we end up losing it and make me insult it by a player because to capture a base as a sniper it’s hard…

so already get insulted by a tank spammer, just… lol , ok he has 152 kills for 13 squads lost but fortunately he spammed these tanks for that… I had only 72 kills having used medic, assault and sniper, including 2 squads lost. knowing that I spent half of the game waiting for my team to help me capture lol.

in short, he also had no basic capture pts or sapper… bah yes spammed the tank it’s too much asked to do the rest lol. in short, he attacked the whole team but the problem is that it’s often like that… one game out of 4 takes place in these conditions where three-quarters or half of the team are waiting for their tanks or simply refuses to attack or defend the base.

I am not of a deserter nature, but when I am in such a team, clearly it does not make you want to play.

I am on server “all”, is there a server that should be avoided or not?

because I play between 2 to 4 hours a night according to my available time so chaining such teams is a big waste of time.
