Well, i think they failed that, cause they caused a knee-jerk reaction for sure.
Good point.
Exactly! But honestly I have no issue with how any of these people conduct themselves. I was never vested enough in the promises and outcomes. I know body armor works, it is what it is. I did not realize there was a lot of outside drama besides the fact of Russia having body armor. I just considered it like the Japanese sword. Every faction should have a little something special. The use of metaphorical terms like “knee jerk” just convolutes the issue. I think the main community moderator is only slightly more in the developer loop than us. Between this and Warthunder trust me there are some very powerful people who do not need to appease our complaining. Seems people are vested into the whole conversation. My peeves are so minor outside the Gold order stuff. Bots will always be bots, a few cosmetic bugs are not game breaking.
Well if there’s a downside to bodyarmor, like being notably slow, then I think it would’ve been fine.
Ok i re read the original post again and well yeah it is not as bad as i made it out to be but still kinda bad as if the had intrest in fixing it it would not require a knee jerk reaction from them as they would most likely have some kind of idea already how to deal with it.
Also I now also remember how major did puplicly admit that the devs are afraid of the “other” mains when designing german weapons and thus germany cant have thing percieved as to be strong ( im looking at you scotti naval rifle) when every other allied BP was one powercreep after another.
No matter how you look at it this is something a CM should never have admitted publicly. So my point still stands.
what if they are listening to us BUT they are using it for warthunder infantry mode? lol
i mean i see some gameplay of it and ngl it just look like enlisted but better graphic and no ai squad member.
I dunno man, the term “despise” is pretty extreme. He’s a Community Manager, and his job is to relay any news to us. Of course, he gets the kill-the-messenger treatment for it from time to time from disgruntled players, which is part of the role, but to “despise” him for it, yeah, a bit extreme.
He’s actually a very nice guy, and a decent player to boot.
Be that as it may, six months have passed since then…
The community’s reaction is absolutely unanimous. Everyone wants the damn body armor removed.
He’s most likely just a messenger, and what do they say, “Don’t shoot the messenger”. ![]()
I wish this were 100% true, but in the end they don’t listen to the community. The golden weapons are an example of what they received Much resistance to eliminating it in order to give the current Golden Weapons System
Another example is that of the Soviet armor that has been made 2 Surveys For its elimination based on Reasonable Reasons and Arguments, the response is that they don’t want to do anything, they turn a blind eye.To avoid seeing an advantage that benefits their favored faction Incidentally, these surveys ended with positive numbers to eliminate this permanent advantage in the game.
Do you want to watch the videos of “Active Matter” produced by MJ on YTB? There are many things he was involved in producing. Why can’t you see them?
His current main work is done on AM game, not here.
enlisted is an unmanned donation box.
yes just a messenger。
It only delivers letters on a regular basis, and the contents of the letters are subjectively selected.
The soldier will not protest against the strange decision made by the headquarters because he doesn’t want to be dismissed.
He will not act in favor of the interests of the frontline soldiers as he did initially, when they were like family and had a harmonious relationship. Because he is a regular employee and has signed a confidentiality agreement, his salary comes from the frontline soldiers.
He will consider giving priority to a certain job that has potential for development, such as AM, rather than more work for enlisted. This place might just be his transit point or stepping stone.
Of course, this is not the case for him alone.
Many people are planning the same scheme.
As far as I know, many people have stopped using premium accounts, purchasing additional premium troops, and no longer buying gift packs or event passes.
The gaijin (foreigner) market is still a long way off.
The focus of Gaijin’s research and development lies in the infantry mode rather than the enlisted mode.
A 24-year roadmap… At present, many aspects still have no progress, let alone more changes that would give players a sense of hope and promise, such as: the warehouse system; the optimization of the legion research points; the matching mechanism; the new decoration system; clans; the exchange center; global chat; better customization modes and editors; permanent PVE mode; more exclusive content with clan/nation characteristics; a chaotic campaign like Spain; a brand new beach landing battle; a World War II-era helicopter as a collectible toy; the final formation-based mounted infantry/paladin; the heroic feat of holding a limited defense position with one’s own flesh and blood; similar assassination/cutthroat/defense actions about Hitler/Mussolini;
Just as I often declare to other players during battles:
When you are piloting the aircraft, you can autonomously mark targets within a 2-kilometer radius.
You can use the rallypoint built by the engineers. You can also use the rallypoint and APC built by your teammates, instead of only using the ones deployed by your team members.
You shouldn’t always demand that others provide you with respawn points, markers, and then remain indifferent while you are content with your low ranking at the end;
You shouldn’t always ask others to launch attacks or provide defenses, but you do nothing yourself;
You shouldn’t always rush into a strategic point after your teammates have cleared it, gain the occupation benefits, and then without any resistance hand over the lives of all your soldiers to the hands of an opponent’s soldier. You shouldn’t use the best weapons, tanks and aircraft in this battle, but only play the role of a stone, a bush, or a loaf of bread.
Well, nothing against Major in general - but he was the number one voice that pushed for a G43 kurz nerf. To be fair it really used to be the best gun in the game, BUT when it was reasonably nerfed he still called it being OP.
My mind tells me he was right, and burst also made no sense for HA.
Still, my heart is broken. I miss my favourite weapon.
Well I respect everyone’s opinion here, and took the time to read through it all - but some of the “reasons” people give for disliking me here seems to be based on a bit of misinformation. Though if you don’t want me to create content again because you didn’t like the content or how I did it, that’s one thing and perfectly acceptable to think - I won’t argue with that. ![]()
Prepare for a wall of text, but hopefully it’s helpful nonetheless:
I never said this, let alone “promised” this, since how on earth would I be able to make this promise if I didn’t know what was possible, as I wasn’t a CM then?
We have made a lot of changes and things as a result of the community itself, not all are straight visible publicly though, admittedly, and with other things we’re restricted by time and/or the existing logic of the code making something difficult and therefore more time intensive/far more complex to do than we may think, which plays a bigger role than I expected before joining. Being reflective of myself here, I probably should have guessed this before I joined too.
This is untrue for every news or event or other “release” apart from major updates (which I have no control over at all the exact time they are released, this depends so much on the platforms themselves and what else needs to be completed by developers).
We always release news of the same type at the same time every time (3pm German time, but that will vary based on clock changes that some countries do, since we have employees all over the world). The only exceptions are when we have multiple things to publish that day, so one thing is staggered to make room for it so we don’t post multiple things at the same time.
I’m not entirely sure what the second half of this is about, I tried to see if I was missing something, still can’t see what this might be - regardless, I’ve never intended to guilt trip anyone! As for responding to things, I’ll give you that I could arguably do that a bit better, but there are often things we can’t answer so I cannot give anything, since even responding itself with anything is an answer.
A lot of the forum is looked at by Helpers anyway if not me, they do some superb stuff.
This is entirely false and completely taken out of context. Check back to my comment where you read this and you would see. To explain it, I said developers were against making knee-jerk reactions (in general, and it’s pretty logical) to things based on immediate thoughts from the community, for example, when things are just spoken about in a basic way in news and not able to be tried out in-game yet (Japan rifle balance for example). Saboteurs is another great example - not received initially the best on this forum, but outside the forum it was generally more positive, and when it was released there were far fewer negative thoughts about it.
The funny thing is, for those who claim to have seen some of my old content, you would see how I always used to complain about body armor for USSR in everything - I’m surprised how quickly that was forgotten by players!
I just equally give the developer point of view. I think I also said that it’s more likely that a nerf would be added to body armor, or to a lesser extent for it to be added to other factions in some way, rather than outright removed, but anything is possible and it could still be removed.
“Knee-jerk” I can see has become a bit of a meme for people to raise their pitchforks about, but in general, it’s still a completely logical thing for most new features added to the game. There are many past examples (in many games too, not just here) of opinions shifting based on trying out something new.
I am not - in fact most of the things I have aided developers with are things I did always speak about I wanted to do in my past content, like matchmaking adjustments for +1/-1 BR. Not everything I’ve been able to do, the game is not just about me and my opinions, so it shouldn’t just be what “I want”.
I never said this either. “Afraid of mains of X nation” is not even a viable argument for any changes coming to the game. :))
The main thing I personally prefer is not making every nation feel the same. I like nations having differences, even if that means comparing X weapon for Germany vs Y weapon for USA has a clear winner, and for the interest of the game I also think this matters. Adding some new gun instead is a better solution rather than buffing the one seen as “underpowered” to match the exact stats of the “powerful” one, or even giving more options to counter different things. I’d get bored if all nations and guns felt the same.
I don’t produce any videos for AM.
I see what you’re trying to say, and I expected players to say this as soon as I joined. Fair enough. However, as an employee I cannot (and don’t even want to) just say something completely outrageous about the game on any public forum, which should be expected. I can say in nicer ways how I want X to be changed, and for some things I have above already.
Just because I am a CM does not in any way, shape or form mean I’ve just decided to “stop” pushing for things I thought would benefit the game and that I made content about. Everything I said in those videos/streams still stands, some have been implemented, others not. If I made videos again talking about this stuff, it probably would make it more obvious, admittedly, but much happens internally now, and I have to respect the developers’ thoughts about it, which are all valid. They care a lot about the game and player opinions, just not everything can be done at all times, so we put it where we can, propose specific ways of doing things, etc.
This is not true at all. For HA reasons it made sense to do, but that doesn’t mean I pushed it or anything. Player feedback played the biggest role. ![]()

body armor has been topic for years before you made this comment, so it was definitely not an immediate thought from community, but persistent over years since we found out that body armor has damage reduction.
community(besides soviet mains) usually agrees that cosmetics shouldnt have in game performance buff, otherwise some uniforms should give you extra ammo or grenade slots. if body armor is staying in the game, then it needs to get into equipment slot(e.g. bag slot). that way player is getting downsides for equipping body armor(choice between extra ammo or body armor).
The missing context
When the italian armored M14 skin was added the EN side of the forum for a long time didnt got any clarification if the armor was functional or not but on the RU side they had that exact information in the first hour.
Frustrated with the lack of answer I asked if staff had already deserted the forum and also called you “MajorMcGhost”. Hours later you did reply and said that you were in a hospital the entire time and could not reply because of it.
Was it true? Most likely yes but it also was awfully convenient as an excuse (even if valid) for an issue (the CMs rarely checking in on news topics once it was released or more than 1 to2 days old ) that had been ongoing for a long time already.
well thats practicly the reason many of us wanted you in power/close to devs because according to multiple statements i heard you were gonna make the decisions more based on community feedback something that at least on paper it sounds like rainbows and flowers, maybe i exagerated a lot on the promising part i must say… but that doesnt mean you dont wanted to convince us that if you join things will become better with the multiple statements you said
and talking about promises, perhaps can you finish the roadmap you shared to us after 2 years? where are clans system, because of the long time devs have been trying to add it, almost all clans have disbanded or splitted out into pieces, where is mods tools? i mean my clan and I alredy tested how good these mods can be but because of the lack of more propper modding tools even goated modders like tommy left the game even tho they managed to do a revolution when it comes to mods…that later on the own developers took inspiration from it (rocket artillery)
wheres the global chat?
where is keyboard and mouse support on consoles?
like common bro people has been suggesting this for ages
So new BP format was done on the community feedback and OFC nobody wanted gold orders so they removed it
ah yes why the map voting system still giving me the maps i dont like to play and why theres a limit on the votes like what? why that idea was made that way?
why you developers keep adding interesting features behind paywalls and why multiple balance stuff or requested events and squads havent been added?
and yes and my favorite one “your pc cant hold the game anymore buy a better one” AHHH ofc i have to buy a better pc cuz developers are to lazy to do a optimization focused update you know the funniest at the end of the day i realized it was a bug what caused me insane fps drops not my pc at all but the answer was to buy a better pc while devs they just keep adding more of these bugs and “beautiful graphics” with each update
at least from my part i dont dislike you/hate you im just pointing out the obvious, if the community feedback was really that heard as you say it has become cuz of you we would have the features i said on my previous statement
game has almost 6 years and around a decade since its first teaser launched developers and CM must know what a community likes and wants
