Currently white phosphorus grenades have been nerfed so that they’re worthless. Instead of buffing them to be more lethal I’d like to suggest changing how they work to be more of support grenade.
How I’d balance them:
•Decrease the damage of the gas cloud
•increse the time the gas cloud is in the air
•Make players enter into a coughing animation when in the gas cloud so they can’t reload/ increased recoil and weapon sway (like the fire animation but significantly less damage)
•stamina should drain rapidly while in the gas cloud
•Gas should stick around for longer in permanent structures compared to open air/temporary structures

I don’t know about the other changes but I rlly like the first two changes. Just with those wp becomes a speed debuff cloud that maybe if it didn’t have friendly fire would be worth it. May be wrong however. Just don’t think the other impairments would be enjoyable gameplay.

I’d be fine with that instead, so it could be used for area denial, but I think it should also prevent running by draining stamina so it could keep enemies out of a zone even better.

As if slowing down movement speed is enjoyable.
At least it doesn’t disable you completely like the reload thing.

Yeah that’s true… and or hinder you with the bobbing you get from fire.

We need to increase the radius of the grenade, as the cloud is very small. It would be cool to use phosphorus as a support, but this is only possible with an increased radius and duration. I am in favor of any enhancement of phosphorus
It’s not a "gas grenade ", it’s an incendiary grenade.
White phophorus burn everything. Litteraly …
So there is just 2 options : realistic phosphorus , or remove phosphorus and replace it by " gas grenade " (like CS ? It was used during WW2? Or other war gas).
So wp is actually BOTH toxic and produces heat.
This white phosphorus grenade really needs a redo. I once timed it and found that from the moment it explodes to when the smoke clears, there’s only about 8 seconds. It’s not even enough to disable a vehicle’s engine. Its functionality is completely outshone by the incendiary bottle. I can’t even think of a reason to carry it.
White phosphorus grenades definitely need improvement; otherwise, throwing them is no different from throwing smoke grenades.
