I am against battle rating because this kind of stuff will disappear.
Unless you want to handicap yourself by bringing weaker vehicles but powerful infantry, to meet powerful enemy infantry and vehicles…
But… We will see. I’ll mostly use low lvl stuff because I like it.
I am also a naysayer. I have a decidedly negative attitude towards BR.
No matter how BR is implemented, as long as he cuts these weapons and equipment into small pieces so that they cannot meet each other, which would take the fun out of the game that he could have had. He will not bring any positive effect on gamers and game fun. Looks like a parody of War Thunder and copied the wrong answer for the game.
They should copy some other advantages of War Thunder. Players want the infantry version of War Thunder Battlegrounds, not BR itself.
I’m still looking forward to them doing something with custom rooms and mod battles to salvage the situation

It wont disappear, you just get the choice. Do i want to take BT-7 vs panther? You can, if you dont, no problem. Just build the deck that way.
Right now you dont have a choice.
Course if you were hoping for the reverse (tigers vs stuart games) it wont happen anymore.
Your choice is meaningless. If you do that, you are not going to give you an advantage in battle, you’re not a historical battle hero who ambushed a panther. Just maybe a funny clown for fun on both sides. More maybe a fun toy for your enemy.
You won’t do anything positive for the battlefield by beating a Panther in a T-70 or BT, let alone that it’s hard to do and your opponent will be spamming another Tiger or Tiger King in no time.
But that happens now Anyway. Killed many kv-1s with my panzer III and flame panzer, just for another to spawn.
Im not seeing the difference. Except post merge i can choose to uptier myself (which will essentially be no different from now) OR, avoid it.
You cant, pz3j cant pen kv1 if are not perfectly aligned each other and kv1 player is AFK

Basically with BR can choose how high to punch above you weight, just not the reverse. (Tiger seeing only stuarts for example)
In the eyes of your teammates trying to win, you may be a clown trying to juggle, occupying their advanced tank position.
And chances are, you could fall from a height and explode while wasting time to win.
All of this is of course irrelevant if this is a PvE game.
I’m not talking about players who complain that their teammates are taking their plane or tank position. you can easily find these kind of topicssss everywhere.
If this is a PvP battle, in both teams, each player’s style of play should have its own rationale, which is combined with the outcome of the game.

People get shitty when lowbies take out their panzer IIs, when the enemy only has t-34s. At least with the BR, that will only happen if someone does that on purpose. And i bet that will be rare. People arent going to purposefully give themselves no chance

and they always make the best choice for the team. For example, in a game like Enlisted, you can see players actively create rally points and correctly choose their vehicles to deploy on the battlefield.
Personally, I’m keeping a keen eye on the M24 Chaffee, BR depending, it might become funnier.
They wont do whats best for the team, but you can bet they will act in their own self interest.
Why would any average player uptier themselves against stuff they cant kill, when they could stay at their br and profit.
People may be dumb…but that dumb? Self interest should trump in this instance

Or maybe we’re just not on the same channel. About understanding of the fun of the game.
It’s not what I mean: right now, I use a mix of everything I like, most of which is not meta. In return I meet players using pretty much anything as well. If I see a try hard enemy, I have my try hard assaulter squad ready. If the game seems balanced, I bring my Moroccan warriors or Volks!
I like the surprise, what will I face on the field? Will it be a powerful tiger? Ok, no problem I will use tactics to counter it. Will I meet Pumas? Nice, I have my Chaffee ready for fair fun.
But BR will mostly turn out… well like Warthunder. Min maxing will be more prevalent and the variety of what we face/bring, will be limited to our BR. Deviating too much from our highest br piece will mean a certain handicap… Because with it, mostly every enemy will have min maxed stuff.
No more funny, oftentimes strange loadouts.
It’s the part I will miss the most…

Ok that makes sense.
I guess i never really cared how my enemies were equipped, didnt make a difference to me even if i am using my mp40s or manlichers. I expect all foes to come max armed with avt-40s, ppshs and kv-1s. (Stalingrad)
Ironically bot squad use only this kind of equipment
Something tells me, to choose to do that, you would be capable of pulling it off. I know thats why i take out lesser tanks even if i have better, cos i think i can pull it off (and as you say, its fun)
