Exactly… I like using random stuff… But if ALL 10 of my opponents ONLY use ppsh41, avs, t34 and nothing else… I might not enjoy using my Volks squad much while using a Kiraly squad as backup…
I’ll just end using only Kiraly… Which will be the same as not bringing fun varied loadouts.
I just like variety and fun strange squads.

The enemy has deployed a War Beast, and I took great pains to destroy it for my team. Now our team has the advantage in battle because of my contribution.
For me, the combat contribution itself is interesting.
If my contribution is worthless, or the enemy is inherently weak, sorry it’s not interesting at all.
I mean, if I take hard to wipe out a spaming unrestriction behemoth, such effort is worthless

I myself am not used to there only being 1 beast in a game. In my experience, no sooner than you kill a beast, its back. I see way more “beasts” these days (always jumbos, always kv-1s, always t-34s, always tigers)

Maybe. If you one day reach that level.

I still routinely chose lower tanks 
cos they are fun regardless of the handicap and better at infantry support.
Panzer IIIN is a favourite (and panzer IV F1)because it is an anti infantry monster, but still capable against tanks. (And its always funny killing a kv-1 with it or a flame panzer)
Panzer IV 75 long , tiger and panther may deal with tanks better, but can no where near match the rate of fire of the 75mm short against infantry. Hence i favour 75 short.
I did see that thread, and was upset if it was the case, but have since killed KV-1s with it (and t-34s)
probably going to uninstall after the merge, so will likely stop playing the game and stop caring

the game is losing all of its historical appeal and all of the immersion that was already being lost due to the constant push towards the arcade spectrum
now this final push will completely push it over the edge where it will just feel like any other silly online shooter, and that was not why I played this game
I understand the issues they were attempting to solve with this move, but they went about it the wrong way in my opinion and aren’t solving anything, just creating different problems and downsides to the game
heroes and generals made the same mistakes, they changed the game too much to cater to the new or low level players and then vets like me stopped caring and supporting because we came up and earned our way and didn’t have all this hand holding forced on us like they do it now, and it wouldn’t be an issue if we weren’t forced into it, but we are being forced into it, and that’s not acceptable
This game first caught my attention in 2019 with the aesthetics of the Moscow campaign pre-alpha footage
Crappy early war weapons, smol early war tanks, bolt actions by the most part on both sides and no weird BS like MKB or Pz 4F2 at Moscow.
If I can recreate this experience after the merge (Mosin, stick mag PPD, BA-11, etc) I will be happy.
But if the game throws me on Berlin maps with this loadout, that’s gonna be a way to uninstallation for me.
I think I’ll probably make a thread where I will compile stats on “acceptable” and “BS” games I get with the “soft rule” after the merge.
That 2 biplanes from moscow ( i dont remember their name) and event reward anti aircraft guns .
Oh and every bolt action combination within the game
I am plannimg to do even crazier stuff: using panzer 2 in open normandy maps and russian biplane at berlin. Bcs why not ?
I won’t change my weapons much but instead I’ll probably play tunesia more.
I don’t really play it now because I don’t like the equipment and I don’t have nerves to grind from scratch yet again.
