There’s alot of t50 now because of the gold order, but maybe once we start seeing the buffed up pz3 with great pen characteristics 50mm canon it will even out. Germans also have stronger bombs to deal with t50 if needs be. Ppd might be the best smg in Moscow, but lmgs are still best for German side.
You know the only way one could think lmgs are now “bad” is if that person treated them as big smgs, ran and gunned and bunny hoped with them, “à la” call of duty.

Not only what @ZebulonBVance said, but that particular pz3 has 50mm or so armour on it’s front hull… AND turret. Unlike pz4 wich have a very easy to pen turret. I’m sure it will be able to compete with the t50. We just don’t see many for now.

You kind of just sound salty that running a full auto one hit kill 900+rpm monester got a minor nerf to accuracy while running and gunning, which is something that gun isn’t even supposed to do. Just set it up in a good position and slaughtered that doesn’t take cover,then reposition. Those mgs are still monsters.

Yeah, well the german LMG’s were the direct counter for soviet SMG’s as none of the german SMG’s arent even nearly as good as the PPD / PPSH.
So either, nerf the PPSH / PPD to theyr realistic values or buff the german MP’s to unrealistic values.

I highly doubt anyone would have any problems to use the SMG to said role if it wasnt so inferior in comparison to soviet smg’s.

Exactly in manner that got all the kids butthurt. CQC, as the german LMG’s were by far better choise for CQC against soviets than any of the german SMG’s.
If the german SMG was even close to good as ppd / ppsh obviously people would use it over LMG in cqc. it isnt.
Now, due to LMG nerf theres a massive cap in cqc department.

Pretty sure they would have been made so then. Changing its accuracy to non-existend and decreasing speed isnt exactly something that could not have been done day 1.
It was rather clear that the germans had major advantage in LMG’s over soviets and soviets had major advantage over germans in SMG’s which was “fine” untill the nerf of lmg’s.

That is not how anything works. All mgs got a nerf including Soviet mgs. And th fact that you are not using the MP 40 in way that highlights its strong points, doesn’t mean that it is bad at all.

Quite clearly it is, its called asymmetrical balance. Soviets have better SMG’s and germans had better lmg’s that was balanced.

Soviets had worse LMG’s than germans so its not exactly like something changed drastically for them. Every sane person would anyway choose PPD / Rifle combo over the chauchat / madsen.

This is literally same as if all german players agreed that all smg’s get nerfed to oblivion in exchange to make LMG’s as they used to be.
It wouldnt affect germans technically at all as the SMG’s for germans were already worse than soviets but the soviets in other hand would get the ultimate short straw. As they already have inferior LMG’s and now theyr better SMG’s would get nerfed too.
