When will our opinions start to matter?

How long have we been asking for a better way to manage soldiers? Months? Couldn’t POSSIBLY be that hard to implement easier/bulk soldier management… but good thing we got a new, shiny task menu that is literally worse than the old one! Hell, want to NAME a soldier and change what he looks like!!! HELL YEAH BROTHER!!! That’s some necessary content right there!

I’m not complaining about cheaters or planes with big bombs or tanks that can die to a grenade… but you want to kill a game before it gets a following? Don’t listen to your community.

You took away everything preventing plane spamming and allow that back into the game. We have 5+ players (all with 500+ hours gameplay) all trying to report one single person for cheating and he’s still in the game. You have people with hate speech in their usernames that pop up in mulitple games. Trolls in chat running their mouths with the entire team reporting them and nothing happening.

BUT HEY!!! At least we have some news on Tunisia possibly being released in the next 3 months!

pretty much.

like, they do listen.

but very, very occasionally.

i guess they have other priorities :woman_shrugging:

better be good whatever they are working on.

they do listen and read stuff on the forum, even the stuff with not too many upvotes and comments, but obviously the devs “pick and choose” what they think matters. If something gets upvoted but its against what the devs want for the game, then it wont happen (unless the forums get spammed with tons of shit posts of course)

So in the end “suggestions” are nothing more than that, so to answer your question : " When will our opinions start to matter?" - they do not matter on their own, however if you share your “Ideas” and “opinions” you might give the devs some spice to help fulfill “their” vison for the game.

Last time I had any hope, they introduced battle pass and made daily tasks the only way to get supplies. That was supposed to be THE fix for the progression system. Then there was “hardcore” update that was supposed to fix the lone fighters mode.

Then again, it’s understandable that they can’t just blindly follow what players say. Players contradict each other all the time and often don’t know what they really want. I think the real problem is that developers seemingly don’t have a solid vision of their own. One that works or at least doesn’t suck.

Not how I recall it - they also changed how we get bronze orders for “just playing the game”.

But in any case - the game is not a democracy - the idea that player opinions have to be acted on by dev’s is nonsense - they will pick and choose which offerings they think make sense or will be good - not what we do.

that’s specifically what im saying though… i read a new post about bulk solider management just about on a daily basis… and they give us soldier customization… im pretty sure no one cared about the names of their soldiers lol we just want to be able to send our 40328 snipers to the rear at once, not 1 by 1. I get that they won’t listen to everything. By all means, i dont expect them too. But they are starting to seem pretty lazy for an open beta.

they only have so many chances during an open beta to take steps forward and they are blowing it so far.

They didn’t give us customization because we asked for better management - we got customization because they had been working on it for 3-6 months and it was ready to be rolled out at that point in time.

If they are working on better soldier management (and I bet they are) then it will also arrive when hte work is finished - they may adopt some ideas that have been expressed here, or they may not - or the ideas expressed here may be what they were working on anyway… we’ll never know.

again, not sure where you all are getting this idea that im saying they should listen to each individual player. the solider management is one of the most consistent requests across this forum/the community.
literally this entire post pertains to issues that are mentioned on a daily basis and 2 of you inferred that the post was me saying that the devs need to listen to each individual player.

that’s laziness on the devs part, that’s precisely what Im saying. if they arent going to listen to the community, the community will go away. simple as that

No idea why you think that “isuses that are mentioned on a daily basis” changes anything.

I never mentioned individuals, I mentioned “us” and “we” - stop being such a sensitive wee soul ffs! :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow - way to completely miss the point - well I can see why no one bothers to listen to you!

youre literally nothing more than a forum troll lmao. all you do is try to smear your narcissistic, bullshit know-it-all opinion on everyones posts and act like youre significant. it humors me that people like you still exist on the internet because youre just the ragged on epitome of slob sitting at a desk spewing shit on the internet all while no one cares about what you have to say. ive never once seen you contribute anything to this game or forum other than personally trying to attack other people/instigate arguments. youre truly a worthless sub-human piece of shit. but luckily for Enlisted there are only about 10 of you that we know exist and generally try to avoid. unfortunately there is clearly nothing more permanent that can be done at this time, but prior to this post getting locked - yet again because you are a worthless piece of shit and someone had to remind you - i just thought id take time out of this wonderful monday to tell you to “fuck off”. you contribute nothing but negativity to the Enlisted community and i truly dont understand why things like you exist.

I’m not sure you’re getting the message. Actually, fuck it, you didn’t deserve that sentence being phrased politely, so I’m sure you’re not getting the message.
They may have listened to the soldier management request, they may be working on it right now. Or maybe they haven’t and they aren’t, we simply don’t know.

Yes, and did you also notice that just about every one of those posts proposes a different solution? It isn’t a simple fix.

– that’s laziness on the devs part
– We can’t be sure what they are working on
– You are trying to impose your bullshit know-it-all opinion on me. You’re a troll.

“they are definitely lazy and don’t listen” vs “we don’t know” which one is the “know-it-all”? :man_shrugging:

“We don’t know what they are doing, if anything, so we should just shut up and wait”?

Firstly, I think it’s a massive problem in of itself that they don’t inform players about their plans. It would have been fine if the game was in a great place and developers had a stellar track record with their previous updates. That’s not the case, though.

Secondly, we may not know what exactly they are doing at the moment, but we do know the rate at which they improve the game. So far they’ve been exceedingly slow with major updates and almost all of their significant changes were questionable at best. To a point where at least one of them had to be completely reverted. The rest of the time they are just shuffling tiny variables back and forth. Meanwhile major issues persist since alpha, unaddressed or made worse over time.

Srsly, that’s what you took from my message?
– Hey, you shouldn’t say they’re doing X because of Y if you don’t know that for certain
– So I should just shut up and eat whatever is given to me?
You do you, man.

True. Again, I don’t claim to have any knowledge on why this is the case. I know they are somewhat active in the Russian speaking section of the forum, and as a native Russian speaker I did offer to both the community and the devs my help in bridging that gap, but nothing came out of it.

That is also true, and I never said it wasn’t, what I said was we don’t know. I have no idea what is happening on their end. But it seems to me that they wouldn’t intentionally try to hurt the game or alienate their playerbase (why would you spoil your own bread and butter), so I have to presume there is a valid reason, but there’s no way for us to know.
They could be in quarantine, they could be going through a financial crisis, one of the lead devs could have a full-on mental breakdown, maybe there’s contractual problems and they’re not even certain they will be allowed to keep using this engine or not, and a myriad of other reasons.

7 years in War Thunder have taught me a lot of things about Gaijin games.

One of them is, streamlining the user interface is definitely NOT one of their perks. Almost everything is a convoluted clickfest among unintuitive menus and buttons. In particular, whenever some mass management is involved, NOPE, everything is required to be done one step at a time with multiple unnecessary confirmation windows.

So, I sure do wish for a smoother soldiers management in Enlisted, but my hopes aren’t exactly high.

Most likely not, especially with a still newborn game like Enlisted, but still I’d keep my fingers VERY crossed.

Because now it’s the time when the game suffers from “youth problems”, bugs, balancing and such; indeed the Devs are probably working behind the curtains to do what THEY THINK is best to improve the gameplay.

But still their goal is to appeal to the broadest audience possible, since that’s what the F2P formula needs to survive.

Besides, my fear is that once enough issues will be fixed and/or they will be satisfied with the playerbase pool, there will be a shift to the following phase, the one WT is currently in since years: they’ll begin pulling the rope and keep strangling the game economy more and more, to see how far they can push with “forcing” you to pay before the bleeding of frustrated players leaving exceeds the influx of paying whales attracted by new shiny stuff.

(I’m not joking. The last economy update in WT basically killed even the value of premium account, making it not worth due to earnings being abysmal anyways.)

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to spit on the game for the sake of it. It’s currently my main game and I’m enjoying it despite all. (I guess it’s still the honeymoon phase, huh?)

I’m just burnt by my previous long-time experience with another game from the same company, hence it’s easy for me to spot details hinting to a similar pattern.

The lack of transparency is incredible.
