Would love to know…but my feeling is no its not that close…
Official CC MajorMcDonald has stated we shouldn’t be expecting merge soon. He said devs are planning one major update before it.
But I am not really sure if it’s true or not.
Btw. This monday (for someone today) it’s very likely we get more info in another devblog.
My guess is that next update will bring some important features for merge (maybe new currency? Since they removed lot of BP shop items. But golden orders as they are should stay. So who knows). But it’s not going to be full merge + I would be expecting some Pacific content & some heavy (or more heavier) vehicles.
We really don’t know anything 100% sure at this point.

His discord became basically more relevant than official forum. So I am not really sure about your statement, lol.
His community has privileges of Q&A.
I personally don’t like him much. But I think he’s well informed (So he can prepare the videos/content ahead of time. Exactly as he did with last Q&A video).

I literally heard somewhere the merge is coming in July.
this is mostly guess made by forum members based on road map. they saw merge coming on 3/4 of the roadmap so they expected date in middle of 3rd quarter of the year aka july.
edit:
considering that devs only now put out tech table and got revised edition out, i dont think it is anywhere near ready for next BP season start.

Yeah, but basically everyone thought that tech tree they’re showing us is referring to actual BR levels, not just progression tiers.
Lot of people were completely disillusional, including me.

I would personally guess they will introduce the merge piece by piece. Not kaboom from one day to another.

Well, they might have to postpone the merge after receiving negative feedbacks from the community. Especially, after the new tech tree reveal.
Funny thing is negative feed back would have been alot less if it was clear it had nothing to do with BR or balancing.

How so? Supposedly he MM can either work by campaigns or by nations, I doubt a phase where both systems coexist is possible.
As far as I can tell, they only removed things that are already available as progression items in other campaigns, or they intend on adding as progression items in the future.
I don’t understand. What do you mean? How golden order soldiers are related to progression?
Plus they removed some repeated golden order vehicles. But not all of them.
For example Moscow T-60 has only one golden version, but it still will be removed.
I saw “shop” and assumed you meant the premium squads. Obviously they want to reduce the gold order item clutter generally when everything is clumped together, I wasn’t searching for any hidden meaning there.
But why now if merge isn’t planned with upcoming update?
I guess merge will be released sometime during upcoming BP season (if not this update), otherwise it would be completely unreasonable to remove it now.
Or they’ll simply introduce some feature related to it. It wouldn’t make any sense to remove potential money income without any proper reason.
I never played WT, but I imagine most of those potential money-making vehicles aren’t tier 0

Yes but why clutter up the menu with tier zero items when you can draw them into high tiers, where they might end up buying more premium vehicles of similar tier?
