… Let me dream will you
Sorry xD
? German engineers in stalingrad were fixed a while ago, they can freely use gold order MKb 42(W) now.
Also, about a month ago one of helpers said all assault rifles will be available to stalingrad engies after merge, but we’ll have to wait and see if that’s still planned.

You are right, I just tried it. I am honestly surprised lol
The thing is, the Soviet equivalent is equipping the AVT, which they can already do. That means if nothing changed, only one side would get a bonus out of having Stalingrad Engineers.
So that means Fedorov Engineers and StG-44 Engineers!
I think mkb 42 engineers is are way less unfair for post-merge newcomers than Federov and Stg ones. That’s pretty much overkill I really hope it will not be a thing.
And if this will be a thing. I think best solution would be add option to for every engineer to take ARs via future veteran soldier upgrade. It could be limited only to future engineer III squad.
So Stalingrad players could still have something special, since those squads are just I and II. But it would be more fair overall.
Imagine best infantry squad for soviets (six egineers with federovs) would be unachievable for new players. In that case, endgame would became extremely unsatisfying for them.
I’m heavily against that. It will water down the soldier clases even more.
Imo even MKb engineers are too much. If you want ARs or SMGs, take an assaulter, this is literally his one and only purpose.
Universal soldier clases are shit idea.
If squad tiers would get its own BR, those squads would available only for 9-10 BR.
I really don’t think it would be problem here. Germans are already using engineers squads with FG-42 II anyway.
I think the “unfair to newcomers” ship has already sailed.
Yeah, but this is like few levels above everything else. It would be literally best infantry squad for Soviets.
Then and only then I’m ok with this.
It fits end BR well both in terms of gameplay and “immersion”.
Problem is that I don’t believe it will be high tier. I guess it will be tier 8 max.
With the uptier/downtier range seemingly being two, I would expect constant uptiers into BR 10
We will see.
± tiers is yet another can of worms but I won’t grumble about it here.
As an ex WT slave player, I think uptiers in Enlisted will only be relevant about tanks and perhaps planes. Not so bad with infantry.
bs
it’s going to be just as bad with infantry
now if you play with something that you like and enjoy but currently there is plenty of potential variety in enemies, that will be largely dead after the merge, that is horrible…just imagine at one BR it will be mostly flametroopers…whoever thought this was a good idea is freaking clueless
will have to quit most matches and only play off peak just to find a good match, or lower my BR and avoid my hard earned weapons just so I don’t get forced into the flooded spam tier, except can’t avoid that because they will all be like that
the game is basically being broken thanks to this, it’s really bad, it’s literally enough to make me want to stop playing the game
and yes vehicles is also going to be crap because now you won’t find certain vehicles facing each other which made it rewarding when you had finally unlocked a top end vehicle and finally got to enjoy an advantage in some matches, which rewarded your progress and hard work and dedication
all of that is being pissed away with this merge BR rubbish
so what weapon should you use? Probably one that you are ok using and being used against you, as likely that will be the dominant weapon in that BR and there won’t be much variety on the battlefield anymore
right now, I could choose flametrooper squads and be in a match where I am the only one using it, in the future, that won’t even be possible, that is how crap that is
Why ? How do you know what squads will choose other players ?
because the BR queue will dictate based on BR gear
so you will have far higher chances of seeing the same BR gear in your matches than you currently see in the current system, because the players will be queued based on their gear instead of just getting into any match
so all the players that are playing flametrooper are more likely to be seen in your matches in the future system than you might see them now if you are also playing flametrooper
or if you play a different BR you might never see them at all, but the price you pay is that you won’t be able to use other BR limited gear and limit your BR, but that also doesn’t stop you from being matched to a higher tier despite trying to avoid it
so it’s twice as bad as the game is now, only by force of design
I didn’t talk about variety at all. That’s a whole different topic.
I’m talking about the kind of chances one can stand when facing a full uptier, aka being the lowest BR in a match.
Tank vs tank, it comes down to a matter of hard numbers with armor thickness and penetration power. So, there’s plenty of situations where a higher BR tank can easily pen and destroy the lower BR one from any side, while the lower one is either helpless, or needs to rely on tiny weakspots or sneaky flanking. Think of T-34 vs Pz.II in Moscow, or Stuart vs Tiger in Normandy.
So, does BR matter for tanks? YES, A LOT.
Plane vs plane, it’s about a combination of speed, agility and firepower. A higher BR plane is usually faster, which means competent pilots can exploit the advantage to prevent their opponents from getting in firing position. Yet, that requires awareness and proper flying, and in no circumstances is any plane ever immune to gunfire.
So, does BR matter for planes? YES, but not as much as for tanks.
For infantry vs infantry combat, though… Luckily, TTK in this game is really low at all levels, with lack of any meaningful armor and starter weapons being able to reliably OHK any soldier. The higher firepower of high tier weapons makes it easier to wipe whole squads faster, or allows more margin for error, but very rarely (if ever) a better weapon will make its owner prevail over an opponent that shoots and hits him first.
So, does BR matter for infantry? A BIT, but way less than for vehicles.
