Hi all! Taking into account the new combat rating. What units and with what weapons do u plan to put as the basis for the axis? Does it make sense to do setups of the same rating? For example level 6: stormtroopers and machine gunners and antitank : mg34, panzerfaust 60, mp40. Or 1 level with fully enhanced mp34s and kar98?

simply there are too many things that we dont know, from MM range, to BR rating of the guns.

We have the first version of the combat rating. Of course, it will change, but there is already some understanding of the developers’ idea.

If the matchmaking is going to work like it does in WT (as it seems likely), the highest level item among your entire setup will be the one that decides.
In practical terms, if you make a whole German setup with only starter rifles but with ONE SINGLE STG44, you’ll end up in battles where everyone uses STG44.
Therefore, it will be convenient to make setups whose equipment is the most homogeneous possible (RIP variety).
…UNLESS…
Since any gun can kill any soldier, unlike with tanks, Devs may PERHAPS consider a more flexible system to calculate the overall level when it comes to infantry weapons.
But this is 100% speculation.

Just use the best weapons of the Berlin Axis.
There is nothing better in this game than fg 42 2 and the Fedorov assault rifle.
In planes and tanks, the axle is also better: tiger 2, fw 190a-8, fw 190 d12, ju 188, fiat 55, panther A/G.
The Americans will suffer not because of engineers with assault rifles, but because of a full army from fg 42 2.

they already said that highest level item decides your MM.
and if devs want full human vs human matches MM will be anywhere from ±2 to ±4 MM in peak hours and anything goes in off peak hours.
the exact BR table needs to be released soon, then it makes sense to plan. but:
from what ive seen so far ill build a BR3 army for low level play, a BR 6 army for mid level and BR 10 for high level.
the connections will be +/-2 anyway, this way you can use lots of different weapons and play against basically the whole playerbase.

Right now im preparing my Japanese army to be the most decked out of all my armies. I want to see how tough high end matches will be for Japan.

I’m curious about the squad and weapon split and if premium/event squads will benefit from this change, because if so, I will begin introducing the world to paradrop Mp 717 spam.
for tanks yea but for planes not so much american planes carry a bazillion rockets that are effective both against infantry and tanks literally point and click boom a billion kills
They’ve previously stated that the M2 Carbine (BR 10) will not be able to match with Japan at all. Additionally, Japan is the only faction with their tier 2 flamethrower at BR 7, while the others are all at BR 8. I believe this was a purposeful decision to prevent Japan from matching with BR 10, which means we should expect ±2. Though it’s also possible they were trying to keep them from matching with 9 as well and it’s ±1, but I think ±2 is more likely.
so for maximum variety we now have to play off peak
someone can refer me to a schedule of when it is off peak times?
I won’t follow it, but at least it would help me to know when to avoid experimenting in this game when the game destroying BR system arrives
pacific is separate story with its own MM rules and with current table it will see max t7 matches. but i think they should have put pacific at max t5 cause of vehicles.
middle of the night for specific server. so somewhere between 02:00-06:00.
unless they limit max ± MM

I wonder what will happen to my premium squads.
In example, for Germany, I own the “German BAR” gunners squad from Normandy, and in Moscow both the MG15 75rds and MG42erly.
If all those squads will eventually have a similar BR, they risk becoming redundant.
On the other hand, those MG15 and MG42erly squads from Moscow are supposedly more than capable of putting up a fight even in Berlin 1945, so who knows which BR they will be given?
