What keeps you playing?

I love Enlisted, it just so happens that I can play literally everyday, as WFH and can afford premiums.

Usually, the devs add new content and I am immediately re-hooked, I’m at end game, so apart from maxing squads, planes and tanks (next!), Repetitive matches only keep me hooked when they are fun, that is the bottom line for me.

Fun, is a good pilot dogfight, fun is pushing a point (either solo or in a group, latter more fun), fun is destroying enemy armour, fun is new premium and planes, tanks in different campaigns and learning their nuances…

Now what is not fun.
AA Spam, devs please not sure what has happened but I hear and see AA Spam mowing down my troops (our tickets), so I pull tank kill AT gun / AA gun then wait 2 mins and see another one, only this time I’m far away and taking out armour.

Matchmaking against groups of 4-8 Marshalls, when you are solo. Something has changed or there are more Marshalls nowadays.

Hearing the p2w diatribe, I get people may not have money and think premium advantage, look I get there are advantages with free slots, but honestly I can’t do anything about it, so please either devs give you free slot(s) in an event or something, or stop ranting at me - no Stalingrad is not p2W, I keep hearing it, it is grating after a while…

There are some players, who insist of playing this game like COD, I’m sure the devs wanted fast intense firefights, but not mg34 bunny hopping headshotting you, this looks ridiculous and gets old quick.

I’m not ranting just highlighting what is not fun, I’m sure devs give us some Stalingrad love, or extension on existing campaign I will forget all about it.

mainly just lack of replaceable games, enlisted is not some sort magical super duper interesting game that keeps getting more interesting. But there’s just little to no games with concept like this.

more marshals will come with time. it is the way it was made. you just need to get 50.1% WR and occasional achievement and everyone will get to marshal with enough games played. and that is why you are seeing more of them.

as for what keeps me playing… i just wanted fun casual mmo fps where you dont have many tryhards and cheaters. i will probably play for couple of months more and see where devs take the game. personally i dont like pve aspect of this game and if nothing changes (and it probably wont) i will just find something else and maybe come back to this game in year or two.

i like and enjoy the game as is . content or grind is way after on my book. i enjoy it ofc, but i enjoy the game more.

suits the type of play i was used when i was younger on cod1 or cod2 / medal of honour games.

I bearly play the game as I find it kind of boring and often frustrating.
Depending on what the next major update will contain, I may quit the game for some time.

I play because there aren’t any good games out right now. If I find a better game, then I’m dropping this game for sure since the devs are on another level of incompetency

Mainly because other FPS are shit.

Enlisted is good enough even if it got some flaws.
I love the ballistics in this game.
It’s the kind of game that I will stop and play again, just like I do with War Thunder over the past 10 years. And it doesn’t hapen with a lots of games.

It’s very refreshing to play new maps, and I hope they will continue to add as much as possible.

Do you play multiple campaigns?

all sides all campaigns (altough there are a couple that i do prefer avoiding)

why do you ask?

The engineer class and the building mechanic

Oh alright. I was gonna say playing only one campaign gets tedious and falling back on other campaigns keep the game fresh.

damn, i reduce my forum presence for only a couple of months and people already mistake me for a newbie

i fell off

Lol

Pretty much. There’s no other good ww2 timekiller apart from HLL… But HLL takes too much time (matches are long) and it’s far from being brain dead.

I use Enlisted to vent.

Similar to what Mortebianca said, when I want to relax, I build stuff in my Conan Exiles server…

(And new campaign in Pacific)

I rarely found another game that hooked me so much on PC.

Most WW2 shooters back then had single player campaigns where you could only play the Allies. Call of Duty 2, the feeling was right. In regards to WW2 games, I also liked Battlefield 1942 with its huge maps. You could be the Germans.
And Day of Defeat Source was what I enjoyed and played until I fell asleep.

Stopped playing video games for a few years in my late teens, early 20s.

I come back to Enlisted because of the feeling that I get.
The atmosphere got me hooked. Snowy morning in Moscow… being stuck there.
Then the weapons handling and ballistics.
The engineer class, I like that.
Tanks too.
Some maps are big.
And gold order weapons.

Sometimes it’s a bit too fast and balance is non existing.

But it’s a challenge and fun mostly.

Other times I feel exhausted after completing the battlepass tasks. It’s bittersweet.

When I saw HLL or PS I thought these are amazing and bought them. Then I realised a microphone is a must and I want to play and not talk so I never played it right.

I have enough games that I got a while ago but never finished because I’m addicted to Enlisted.

Please God wake me…
