What does Gaijin think about this?

“execution” Animations would kinda be a huge nerf to melees.

having to waste 3 to 4 seconds for a " cool " animation when there’s an entire squad to take out really does no one but the enemy favors.

which melees in it of themselves are kinda rarely used since… you know.
there are gunz.

I think it wouldn’t be bad anyway.

i think it kinda is.

… when every single stiff animation in this game needs rework.

starting with the new goofy “strolling” run.

Waste of development resources.

While I do agree, Adam, what would be a useful use of development resources?

Jump animations also need to be improved.

If it’s already difficult to jump from one bot to another when you get killed without them all being dead, if you have to watch an animation, the rate of broken monitors will only up.

Why do some people argue that the building collapse animation or the jumping animation will strain the PC and make the game difficult? Why doesn’t this happen in other games?

The problem with building destruction isnt the user hardwear but engine limitation. If the maps assets/ game engine never were intended to track damage caused to static map assest it isnt that easy to just slap it onto an already finished product.

So how does it happen that some structures, especially walls with columns and brick structures, collapse, and tanks also explode and planes explode?

Bad idea with the animation.
BF usually makes the solders invulnerable to avoid issues with the solders dieing mid animation.
In enlisted having someone invulnerable just blinking from one squad mate to another would be more than iritating and kinda unfair.

What’s the point of playing with planes and tanks on maps like Stalingrad and Berlin if buildings don’t collapse and have no effect?

fences arent just a texture but special objects created with that in mind? Also they also dont have an HP bar but more or less just destruction conditions like crushing from a tank.

Also implaying that assets like tanks are functionally identical to static map textures is just wild.

Idk maybe ask the devs who chose this engine 5 years ago or even more.

Dude, don’t you think it’s a little funny that tanks and planes are made of metal and can shatter when exposed to fire, but concrete structures don’t shatter?

In this case, the players will suffer a lot.

i do think it would be cool to have some level of destructive environment, we do have it to some extent, but would be cool to have more

like houses being destroyed, maybe trenches being able to collapse in on themseves if their supports fail

i would really like to see more building able to players, like instead of just being able to dig a hole, but actually reinforce it as a trench line with sandbags etc and a buildable MG

additionally, other structures which can shield from mortar fire and structures would be well received
