What do you think about LMG changes?

I’m just curious what do you think.

To me it looks like BAR vs FG42 will be the new(old) meta within the next 24h.

Just like you, dont care still wont play

LMGs need brutal recoil and sway in aiming, but this should be compensated by smoothly working bipods, which will decrease both recoil and sway.

Every buff for my mg42 early is welcome, let’s destroy Moscow even more for “realistic” players!

very good. for some reason darkflow just cant code proper bipods into the game. now we have the next best thing: less dispersion. anyone crying out for “muh historical accuracy” needs to praise this change, since MGs in real life have extremely low dispersion. it was only added as a “balancing method” into the game and needs to go for the biggest part.

good, the less random bullshit that rewards bad players, the better

All I want is working bipods…

As for dispersion I’m glad it’s lessened. Like pretty much everyone here, I thought it was ridiculous shooting in spray with those.

Less dispersion is always welcome. Now if they would bring everything to under .28 radians I will buy a Panzer IV J premium.

I’m curious about them referring to the FG-42 and Johnson LMG as the same class of weapon.

Maybe they’re going to make the fg a machine gunners weapons like it always should have been, along with the avt/avs. At the same time hopefully they will make the m2 an assaulters weapon like it always should have been

Back to OBT release. Its neither good or bad, but life-long diarrhea is better than rabies I guess.
MG will never work like MG if bipods dot work and maps are as big as COD maps.

Add massive spread when running and low when mounted, currently its run and gun which is bs.

I certainly wouldn’t mind that. I do see two other possibilities though. One, the Johnson LMG becomes a rifleman weapon instead of vice versa. And the bonus option, both weapons become their own class as Paratrooper/Guards weapons, hopefully along with the AVS and AVT.

The mechanic is already in the game tho.
BAR has the lowest dispersion while moving.

If the meta is not playing, then I’m a master

In my honest opinion, dispersion should be terrible when firing from the hip and as a general rule (With exceptions being the BAR or FG42) you shouldn’t be allowed to shoulder a LMG when not prone, period.
Now when firing from a Bi-pod, LMG should be stable and accurate for the most part. But that means coding a Bi-pod that actually functions correctly…

I want the bipods to work properly as why not copy Red Orchestra 2’s or Battlefield’s bipod system where certain locations automatically puts the bipod down on certain spots. COD W@W’s way of manually laying down the bipod is not a good example of deploying bipod as need to be deployed smoothly.

Largely irrelevant.

The change does not address dispersion increase while moving with the LMG- They’re still shotguns. Riding the train in the Berlin armored train escort map still results in the LMG being wildly inaccurate.

Stationary dispersion accuracy hardly matters if you’re going to fire a burst, short or long, in most cases.

Dispersion feels like an artificial mechanic. It could’ve been resolved by modifying the recoil values to make LMGs difficult to control unless braced, prone or crouched, without touching dispersion at all.

Don’t let them forget what they’ve done.

My Hans bipod has perfect accuracy https://preview.redd.it/mpkio4j63li61.jpg?auto=webp&s=59302d089c5199ae628c48e7658d5d1982f312cc

Good change. 0 complains with less rng.

Nor that affected much befor. Besides the usual Mg13 with drum. And or chauchat, But the less dispersion the better.
