War Mode

I was a long time player of Heroes & Generals. I joined enlisted after this game shut down, and I have really enjoyed playing enlisted, and have been doing so for many years, and across different platforms.

However, I have always felt that every battle I have won or lost has no real meaning, besides grinding the next weapon, tank, plane etc. Each battle has little meaning, and so the overall affect of one’s performance is lost. People exist in isolated vacuums playing an arcade mode which is just that: an arcade.

Heroes & Generals had an interesting game mode which gave gravity to every battle - War Mode. Players of a high enough rank could purchase troops of varying types and move them across a real-time RTS map. When two sides met at a city, a battle would occur. It meant that when a battle was lost, it had real consequences. Each battle would be limited by resources, and sure, some battles would be unfair. In H&G, there had been times where I was so outnumbered but by sheer will, we were able to hold the line in time for reinforcements to arrive. It is these moments which made this old and dated game something which was truly awesome.

Unlike Heroes and Generals, Enlisted has much more content and the majority of each front which one fights in has content. It just means that each map would have to correspond with the correct part of the front.

Of course, a regular war mode would be available to new and old players, but war mode would act as something being more competitive, and could give unique rewards, more XP etc. At the start of each war, there would be a prompt to select what faction, and then at the end of the war, whether it be long or short would have a recap, maybe give out gold to the best general and then prompt again to select what faction you wish to join.

So comrades, should we have a war / arcade mode?
