This April fools event is better than a lot of other WWI titles, it’s a great gameplay change, if we got biplanes, then it would be perfect change, but progression would need to be linked of course.
Anyone else feel the same, I don’t mind if you don’t, but saying event is boring, sometimes is a refusal to adapt issue nothing more…

I want all Events as a separate mode. Chooseable whenever i want and Playtime which i decide and i prefer.

You can host them through custom games, but getting players to play them sometimes can be difficult

I get it, I also don’t want to lose Devs focus on WWII, but for a change of pace this event is fun, I mean going backwards is better than going forwards in history right?
I complete event and still play it, between my base game saboteur fun on various factions…
Axis Saboteur BR4 very effective, Soviet BR2 Sab on Moscow when a point locked down most fun I had! All the saboteurs are great, but this WWI event there is something about manning an mg on and defending your trench, dropping gas in NML watching it land just in advance of their attack, or watch your zep just annihilate and squash any enemy assault right in front of your eyes.
The axis box tank, with all those MGs would be totally lethal irl, it is faster and better at peeking as higher and only question I do have is why axis get MkV like Brits, was there no other axis tank as well as box one? (A7V?)
I hope the Devs can give us a few numbers, stats after event how many soldiers killed, by gas, arty, how much ground was taken / lost etc
And overall, this game mode is fraught with a lot of missed opportunities. People have been asking for bayonets for the Gewehr 1888 and Enfield 1914 for a long time, as well as for the MP-18. This event provided a great excuse to finally do it.The German Sappenpanzer chestplate has also been in the files for a long time. In-game, it was only visible on zombies in the last zombie event. I think it would look great on assault troopers with the MP-18 in this event. It’s also strange that the event rewards include Wartime 25, but the event itself doesn’t. People have also been asking for the MG-08 for a long time.
I admit it could be refined agreed, engineers in event have bayonets, hardly see anyone using them, building an MG and defend attacks, easy points and kills.
Biplanes would be great, but would need to be slow and vulnerable like they were.
