One of these things is not like the other one of these things does not belong, M1 Carbine. The M1 carbine is just that a functional carbine that often takes one to two rounds to down or kill. All other factions have at least one semi auto rifle in tech tre br2. The difference is the length of the bullet as you can see by the magazine.
Adding such a weapon to the game is jot crucial but would be interesting. All factions have a br23 and br4 10 round semi auto rifle wh7y6 is br2 us alone. The lack of a tech tree worth gun hardly stopped Japan or germany why should to stop the us from getting one.

The Winchester Model 1907 and Remington Model 8 are both fine but older weapons. Though possessing marginally larger but older bullets there power is about equal to the M1 Carbine. They come in 5 10 and 15 round magazines the Winchester 1907 15 round gun is already in the game. These weapons could be made to work but wold break immersion and hav3e little to do with the actual gun.

The Pedersen as a full rifle is already in the game though not in the tech tree. it is in the game as a weapon as the Type Ko also not in the tech tree. a poor choice but there are not many better short of moving the garand to br3 which short of the br4 rifles being dropped to br3 is not needed.

The best choice is the French 1917 semi auto rifle thousands were produced and distributed around the world by the French. She could join the M6 Carbine but unlike the M6 she could be in the tech tree as the NM6 was an event weapon being a prototype rifle.
Germany if needs it could get the 1918 RSC or 1917 Carbine both of which are rarer but better versions of the 1917. Of course Germnay being Germany i am sure they could find another low-capacity semi auto rifle in all of occupied Europe.

Savage Model 99

While not a semi auto the Winchester 1895 for the Soviets is a fast firing gun and far better than any bolt action rifle such a weapon as the Savage 99 could fill a similar role as the 1895. I would love to see more lever action weapons in general; in the game maybe even a few puimp action rifles in the game.
I love the m1 and m2 +carbine but there is a reason why the t20 and hyde were added to the game. the garand is great but there is a reason why the johnson was added. why it was moved to br3 instead of being buffed i have no idea. the m2 fills the same role at br2 as the Gustloff MP 507 at br3 yet the g41 exists. i am just lloking for a better br2 option then the m1 carbine or a ten round straight pull bolt action.
