you mean the marders with 13/15 mm armor and 50 mm of armort
wow that is less then 12mm and 25mm of armor m18
Seems like you don’t understand the difference.
The M8 Scott is a BR II ‘‘Tank destroyer’’ armed with 75mm howitzer that CAN obliterate infantry at its BR. However, it can’t engage with other vehicles so effectively and its greatest weakness is that it is an open top vehicle. IRL it was labeled as a Self Propelled Howitzer, not meant to be on the first line fighting alongside infantry.
The M18 is a dedicated TANK DESTROYER, designed to destroy the enemy with a SINGLE HIT, to be FAST to flank enemies, AMBUSH, or strike and hide, like what happened during the Battle of Arracourt in September 19th, 1944.
This is not about armour, it is about speed. The M18 is fast, the M10 is clumsy.
50mm of armour in the lower plante, which is bs since a single shot there can inmobilize it, or an HE hit at the turret can kill the crew.
upper hull yes, lower hull is as stated go test it now in enlisted armor view
for the hundredth time
that works in open maps like war thunder larger enough to matter
in enlisted with cover and obstacles not so much
also the gray zone does not exist in war thunder
you cant flank if the enemy refuses to allow you to
50mm flat on the only upper hull and basically almost every tank in BR 1 can penetrate. Also, you have no idea what you are talking about here. Tanks don’t have the same shapes and armor. We wouldn’t having this conversation if you were able to take a look at actual armor for each vehicles in the hanger. I think. Would you stop making slop post after slop post and actually be thoughtful for once.
Wow the one with totally working turret and far far better mobility. Problem?
still br3 armor
you can check armor thickness and effective armor in enlisted as well
Cope much? BR 1 vehicles with flat 50mm armor such as Panzer 3 J having a BR 3 armor then? ![]()

Don’t we have Tunisia? Don’t we have Ardennes? Don’t we even have open areas at Normandy maps? EVEN THE INDUSTRIAL RUHR MAP HAS OPEN AREAS.
The M18 can shoot and then reverse to hide behind cover, it’s not meant to sit at open field while trying to shoot anything, that even isn’t the doctrine for any vehicle besides the Jumbo Sherman, Konistigers and other Heavy tanks that can stand a shot.
and an open top exposing the crew to machine guns, artillery and infantry
in a game where armored mobility matters the least
so i would gladly trade mobiolity for a meaningful amount of armor
maybe you can use some german mobility to dodge planes
mobility does not work in enlisted
Yea you know, the exact problem that Marder 3s have? Actually, worse because the crews don’t have the backside protection at all unlike M18
so what i one in 5 chance of bringing a knife to a knife fight and a 80 percent chance of bringing a knife to a gun fight
ok marders without he to br1 m18 to br2 fixed
the hull is 80 to 100 mm effective how is that flat
flat is 90 degrees like most of the tiger 1
USA don’t fight on slop eastern front maps. Most of maps that USA fights in have a lot open areas. Normandy maps, bulge maps, tunisia maps and even some Pacific maps have a lot of wide open areas so if anything USA has much better usage for TD i will say
Oh, so 50mm equals BR III armour

So following your logic these two beauties should also be BR III, am I right?
Now, about the armour on the turret
Are you kidding? HOW CAN 15mm BE BR III ARMOUR? IT IS OPEN TOP AND HAS TO TURN ITS WHOLE CASEMATE TO AIM
the hull is 80 to 100 mm effective how is that flat
flat is 90 degrees like most of the tiger 1
Don’t change the subject. We were talking about Marder 3 since you mentioned it.

the dday map yep i love that kind of open map lol
even if thats true it goes out the window with the japnese
HOW CAN 15mm BE BR III ARMOUR? IT IS OPEN TOP AND HAS TO TURN ITS WHOLE CASEMATE TO AIM
so this german td has a 76mm or smaller gun then
