Given the new vehicles added—especially the Japanese one I’m showing here:
I think it’s time to consider a mechanic for switching ammo types without having to fire a shot. On vehicles like this one, which only carries 10 rounds, wasting a shell just to switch is ridiculous.
Also, if more vehicles like this are planned, we need to talk about increasing map sizes. This vehicle is essentially a cannon on tracks: it’s extremely slow and has zero protection. With the current small, cluttered maps, players are going to hate using it once the novelty wears off.
It’s honestly absurd to drive an open-top vehicle through cramped city streets, especially with the current game pace, infantry speed, and the recent addition of guerrillas and saboteurs. If regular tanks are struggling, this thing doesn’t stand a chance
Even if the damage model is similar, wasting 10% of my total ammo just to switch types is a huge disadvantage on a vehicle with such limited capacity. Efficiency matters when you only have 10 rounds.
I’ve already tested it, and the primary ammo does zero damage to infantry.
To be honest, the 105 hits much weaker than it used to; right now, it’s about as effective as trying to kill a mosquito with a coffee mug. Just because the stats say it has X amount of damage doesn’t mean it actually translates that way in-game.
I tested the stock ammo against a wall with 5 infantry units nearby: only one fell down, and he didn’t even die. The damage consistency is just not there.
Indeed, but between the number of buildings and other obstacles, how small the maps are, and the fact that the gray zone moves, it’s impossible to use a vehicle properly.
That feature has been asked since the dawn of war thunder(so more than 10 years), yet still not added.
I highly doubt a feature not in wt be added here before
