Upgrading FNAB-43

Could you PLEASE update the rof for the FNAB-43 to the historically accurate 600-800 rpm? Historians suggest it was more likely to be 800 rpm but here it is at 400 at BR2. EVERY other smg is higher, even th MP28 at BR1. Especially considering you just had a collectible squad with a TT weapon…either make it an accurate 800 rpm, or stick it at BR1…it’s useless as is.
Do you agree with increasing the rof on the FNAB-43?

This needs actual proof from historical documents
Until then nothing regarding it’s RoF can be done

Allow me to pitch in.

I would like to further add that testing was carried out with a FNA-B 43 type 2 and in game we have a FNA-B 43 type 2.
It is possible that other sources give the FNA-B 43 only around 400 rpm fire rate because that was measured on a type 1 (or just miscalculated and authors quoted each other without ever checking).

See the other post below…there are MANY references, even Google AI cites it. Those of us on console can’t link anything here.

change the recoil stats and move it to BR1

Yeah, I’ll just go down to the local Fabbrica Nazionale d’Armi di Brescia office and request those 80 year old FNAB technically documents . I wouldn’t doubt Gaijin gets their tech specs the same place everyone else does…Google.

I’d be curious to know where Gaijin got their historical documents showing that the Winchester 1866 was used in World War 2, or that the Soviets were the only faction that had access to body armor?

Add a separate version with this fire rate.

Id say the language barrier also plays a significant role here.
Apparently the soviet 500-600 rof regarding PPS translates to 700-800 in english.

But yes lets be historically authentic and correct, just little bit translation juice for soviets.

If I recall there indeed was more than one model mentioned in that laipublications.com article.

well, L.A.I. publications also tested two PPS-43 submachine guns and found that their fire rate were 700 and 800 rounds per minute.

so this is valid document regarding soviets but not pizzapasta ?

seems like it.

So it need historical documents to drop it to BR1 since all othe SMGs are better than it? At least give us the ability to swap the weapon then.

There is NO way that the Soviet Union could have outfitted thier entire army with body armour. What is more ridiculous is that when I run with my MG13 I have a run and stamine penalty…they run in body armour which would have weighed the same if not more, nothing.

You are correct, the Soviet Union issued body armor primarily to specialized Assault Engineers, Sapper Brigades (combat engineers) and Tank Desant (tank-riding infantry). So, only a select few actually used body armor, not every damn soldier like they have in Enlisted. Every soldier who is wearing body armor should have a 20% speed and stamina reduction. :man_shrugging:

Not to mention Radiomen, as Radiomen in WW2 “DID NOT” carry secondary weapons, they carried ammo bags. It’s pretty obvious that the Dev’s didn’t do much research when they put this game together, yet, if the players want something changed apparently we have to come up with an actual certified document from the 80 plus year old weapon manufacturer themselves.

How’s it going now? There’s already relevant documentation. When will its fire rate be adjusted?

What do you mean? This stuff was proven on this forum multiple times already. Just like PPS43 rpm being “incorrect”.

Does this mean that there is indeed solid evidence?
Could we consider fixing this error in the next version?
Of course, weapons with increased firing rate can be upgraded to level 3 and used to compete with the PPS41 magazine version.
In this way, everyone will have a bright future.
Germany’s level 3 also has available weapons.

They probably just approved the proposal to buff the G41’s reload speed and damage today, so there’s currently a cooldown period and no new changes will be made for now. Everyone knows DF has extremely low work efficiency, and that suggestion took roughly 138 days to get through.

We’ve already gathered sufficient relevant data, yet there’s still no response from them. It seems they’ve already got their own plans in mind.

These changes usually take significant time to be implemented.
Take Type 100 (early) as example which used to have 450 rpm fire rate, than it was suddenly corrected alongside multiple Japanese SMGs. Many months after the suggestion.

Still a “forwarded” would be nice :face_exhaling:
