Literally a meaningless change. It would change a thing for full auto. It would only drastically nerf semi firing mode. Which is already obsolete to full auto by a lot.
They need to need full auto capabilities of SF rifles.
This change won’t destroy the SFR, like rifle grenade launchers, impact grenades, phosphorus, and other things that the developers have ever nerfed. But it will weaken the SFR enough for other classes to compete with them.
It’s a step in the right direction, but it doesn’t address the quantities/recoil issue.
SFRs amounted to less that 1% or all weapons fielded in WW2 exactly because they were unreliable and very difficult to control in full auto.
Yet, in Enlisted they are laserguns without recoil and every Jimmy and their mom can have it.
I believe both availability and recoil need to be put more in line with historical realities.
I was talking about BR5 SRFs, if their OP stats are not changed in any way.
While there may be good reasons why the devs wish to avoid to go that step the performance gap between select fire rifles and BR IV gear as well as the overperformance of jets and some tanks only proves to me that we need a BR VI for selected stuff. This would be my preferred option.
I just don’t see why these should have a +/- 0 MM or even a F4A and would be heavily against it. If WW2 atmosphere and immersion are truly paramount to you then this suggestion goes directly against that maxim as e.g. Japanese vs Soviets in Tunisia is the most outlandish it can get, while a BR 6 with historic pairings at least takes use of an interesting “what if the war lasted a few years longer” scenario. It’s a difference between bending history and completely disingrating it.
My vote would thus be for “Make them BR VI” WITHOUT any addendum as I believe BR V gear could deal well with BR VI gear. Make it on top that jets don’t outturn prop fighter planes and I’d say we’re settled in this regard.
