That’s right, it’s the UDM42 with a 40-round mag instead of the original 25-round one. After all, there isn’t a single 9mm American submachine gun on the tech tree — it’s way too bare. Within the entire US tech tree lineup, only the Commonwealth gets 9mm SMGs. It’s about time we got something new (even if it’s just a magazine swap).

- Battle Pass
- Please devs, don’t just slap a new magazine on it and call it a new gun.

I think its 30 rounds I had a book back in the day with picture of the 30 round variant.

It’s a 30 rounder from tommygun, for .45ACP version.
If this mag can be reused for 9mm, about 35-40 rounds should fit, I guess. Mags for 20 rounds of .45 could be loaded with 25 rounds of 9mm (or so it is claimed)

Still will be good BR III SMG to have some diversity from Tommie’s

USA alone has around 9 or 10 tommies, think I’ve been tommied to death with the number of tommies but now theres only 1 TT BR 3 SMG since the M1a1 was downtierd.

Prob need to have some further look into it, since a .45 acp version would defeat the point of adding it

Well there is one with silencer and few more variants of this weapon from WW2 but I haven’t research them I found the 30 round variant when I was looking for the silencer variant but I dont know is there is 30 round variant that is not .45 acp.

I’d still go for a .45 version but 9mm would make it more useful. Having something other than a Thompson at BR3 is the main issue IMO.
This was found at the National Museum of Chinese History. I’m not sure of its actual caliber, only that the United States did supply a large number of 9 mm UD M42s.

Can you find info on the caliber ? Since its possible to be 9 mm if its Chinese but I never seen one that is 30 rounds and in 9 mm
I’ll check with the museum, though they might not reply, and the whole process could take a long time.
