Since Japan doesn’t have a true rifle after BR2, only 3 semi-auto rifles in BR2-3…and the NEXT one in the TT being the Type Hei AUTOMATIC…can we please change the weapons designation as it is NOT a semi-auto? The EXACT same weapon is given to the BR4 Paratroopers AND it comes with a shield yet it is designated a LMG. Since this is fully automatic, it should at least be considered an Assaulte Rifle over the crappy Type 2a AR (which belongs in BR3 or 4 at best)? With the lack of available rifles and decent options for SMGs, semi-autos and AR for Japan at BR4-5…I propose allowing the Type Hei Automatic be classed as a Rifle/Assault Rifle/LMG so Assaulters, MGs and Rifleman can ALL have a better weapon option and be competitive? The Type 2a is outclassed at BR5, the sawed-off M2 is terrible,the Tokyo Arsenal doesn’t stack up to other factions SMGs at BR5, and they have no other rifle option.
Do you agree to giving ALL Japanese BR5 soldiers a more competitive weapon to choose?
uhhh, so the thing is that all SF rifles (FG42, AVS, AVT, T20, M2 Carbine etc) are considered as semi-auto rifle in terms of BP tasks and event tasks, as well as by weapon designation which is odd since they are full-auto but since they fire full power cartridges, they are much closer to semi-auto rifles than assault rifles.
Type hei is iffy on that full power cartridge claim. Personally I think it would’ve been better for the game if it and the m2 carbine were assault rifles and if Japan could’ve got a more conventional select fire.
6.5 Arisaka is a weaker rifle cartridge but it still is a full powered rifle cartridge. Determining whether or not it is full powered cartridge can most reliably be done by looking at how it’s used. 6.5 Arisaka is used by LMGs, the Type 11 and Type 96 for example, and thus falls into the full powered rifle category.

In fact, Fedorov is classified as an Avtomat(Automatic Rifle). (It’s not called a Assault Rifle)
And in the case of Type2a, it’s a completely different bullet.
It is smaller in size.
The Fedorov Avtomat is an Automatic Rifle not Assault Rifle. Automatic Rifles are a type of LMG, including the BAR, Chauchat and Charlton, mostly developed during WW1 to address the changes due to Trench Warfare. The Fedorov being classified in game as an AR is simply wrong and should’ve been fixed a long time ago.
That’s why there should be lower tiered tanks and planes offered to use in top tiered squads. Trying to level up the Japanese Fighter Pilot IIIs in BR5 is painful.
To be honest, the infantry weapons side won’t have much to add.
Even this was somehow found and added.
Certainly, there is no other options for SF and AR.
They’re the only weapons.
The other option is to bring weapons from other countries.
Certainly, there is no better SF than Hei Autorifle.
That’s not to say that Hei Autorifle is bad.
Dev recognized the excellent RPM, and weak damage applied the preferential treatment of 30 Mag.
What BR5 needs right now is
Type 2a with 30 Mag and Type97 Mortar and excellent Attacker aircraft. (SF is Good, Ho-Ri is OP, Kikka is Good, Ofenrohr is Good)
But isn’t Kikka a pretty good fighter?
Unlike other jets, the jet has very good engine power and rise, which is very advantageous in high-altitude fighting.
I think you didn’t apply the appropriate operation method for Kikka.
