Now that Japan is facing Soviet BR3 and BR4 tanks and again facing American BR4 tanks, Japan needs an AT on the BR3.

An improved version of the Type 4 7cm was produced, the Type 4 9cm with a penetration of 120mm

Three prototypes existed: Model 1 had a 600mm long cylindrical barrel, Model 2 had a 600mm long U-shaped barrel and Model 3 had an 1800mm long cylindrical barrel. In the end, a 1500mm long cylindrical barrel was adopted (1200mm for the airborne model, produced later). For stability when firing, a bipod for the Type 99 light machine gun was mounted on it.

There is the Type 97 AT rifle with experimental Ji Te Dan, with an estimated penetration of 220-250mm

I don’t mind as long as it’s added to the game.

Kinda funny and sad at same time.
Everyone can have German AT for balance, but Axis can’t even have a BP semi-auto AT rifle without a nerf on it.

I hate that the only AT rifle with this penalty is the best in Germany
All factions should have this penalty or none

Type 97 with near identical stats is unaffected though.

All non semi-auto AT rifles are trash in the game anyway.

wow the type 97 is an allied weapon
wow japan is an allied power
the only reason the type 97 is not nerfed is its the only br1 at class soldier weapon for japan while germany has several, and it should have the same nerf as the s/18 the s/18 should not be buffed it was already dropped from br2 to br1
if all at rifles are shit
then every rifle but the s/18 and 97 are shittier and shitest

Nice rant, but have considered adding new AT rifles instead of complaining about a faction having better BP weapon than your TT weapon.
(Interestingly, it’s not a problem when your faction’s TT weapon is better though)

Yes if only my faction could steal better weapons from other countries, I’ll add the Winchester at rifle then have ever weehraboo whine

Actually, I think it’s a decent idea, but I’m worried that the developers might tweak the stats and turn it into some overpowered hybrid of the Bazooka and the M9 “Stovepipe.”

That could easily overshadow the Panzerschreck 60’s lobbed trajectory. Plus, given Japan’s historically limited resources, it’s hard to say how much penetration power they could realistically achieve for a weapon under such conditions.

Well, to put it this way—it’s not the weapons that are wrong, but the environment. I think if BR1 gets locked, those lower-tier gear should actually be able to shine.

Exactly, you’re right. So when the Soviet side lacks good tanks at BR5, I think the same way—now Japan is truly lacking effective anti-tank weapons at BR3.

By broken I mean no weapon of the same class of the other faction is as good
