TT Thompsons br2 USA

M1A1 Thompson (20)

The Thompson SMG commonly had two different types of magazines, a 30 round magazine and a 20 round magazines these two magazine types were seen all over ww2, with all versions of the Thompsons but I’ll be talking about the M1A1 and potential for the M1928A1 too.

Stats: for the M1A1 Thompson (20)
Br2
Same rate of fire and dmg as the M1A1

         Base Upgraded

Reload 2.1s → 1.9s
Dispersion 73 → 66
Vert recoil 17 → 15
Horz recoil 6 → 5

And it would be placed in the research tree foldered under the Owen gun in tier 2.

Why add it?:
The US tree commonly used thompson magazines yet doesn’t use the more common early war magazine size, the 20 round magazine which was used from Tunisia down to the jungles of the pacific, plus even when a larger magazine was available, soldiers stuck with the 20, on top of that the 20 round magazine is already modeled in.

M1928 USMC

M1921

Which use the exact same magazine model as each other.

Reason for stats:
So the M1A1 Thompson would have a bit more of a struggle for recoil due to its smaller magazine size, but also should be an accurate gun to make up for its small magazine and low rate of fire.

This could replace the current one, allowing us to put it in br 3

I know what you mean, but I still want to have it explicitly written that we don’t want to remove the M1A1 from the game, just add 20 round Thompsons to take its place in BR II. Options are nice.

The current M1A1 has no business being in BR II to begin with…

I didn’t expressly stated that or imply that in any way

I just wanted more about the Thompson

I ideally, we’d have 20, 30, and (for those that could use it) 50 round versions of all tech tree Thompson types in the tech tree as well.

Foldering in Thompson variants with variants of with the same magazine type would cut down on progression time a lot in game.Tech Tree bload is only an issue because so many items are independent…

Not all equipment you foldered needed to be grinded anyway

Precisly.

I for on only need the M1A1 for late-war historical line-ups, then the M1928A1s for early war and/or competative line-ups.

The other variants, like M1s, M1921ACs, and M21/28s I’m personally not that interested in, but I’m sure some other people would be.

As I said, options are nice.

The US should also receive the TT Thompson with a 100-round magazine. For example, the one used by the NKVD squad.

Sadly, it’s also a paratroopee Premium foe the US…

They use a different model.

They do…? Huh.

I’m not a big expert on Thompson models and I don’t have any premium paratroopers. The NKVD squad has Thompsons with foregrips. According to people who own both squads, the NKVD Thompson is better than the paratroopers’. Overall, it makes sense, considering that in this game, Thompsons with foregrips are superior to all other Thompsons.

Yeah, no, you’re right, just looked in the resource.

The Soviets has the M1921 model with 100 rounds, the US paratrooper one is the M1928A1.

allow me to chip in with the suggestion a little.
Tom Nelson M1A1

a little source and proof of the M1A1 Thompson accepting 20 round mags from Tom Nelson´s book.

Was this really in question…?

I suppose you need a source for everything these days…

I added only because I remember that I had it so might as well use it.
