Top TT BR5 freak-gun nations

  1. Japs. 80% freaky.
Hei AR, TA SMG, new type 2a, M2 sawoff are just paper. Type 100 MG - ok, existed.
  2. USSR. 50+% freaky.
Have AVS and AVT, that’s ok. But none of them used 20-round magazines in reality. PPSh is ok, MT is ok less. Hvedorov AR was used during the defense of Moscow in very limited quantities. AS and RD are real paper.
  3. America. 40% freaky.
T20 and Hyde are paper. Thompson, M1919, M2 existed and were used during ww2.
  4. Germany. ~0% freaky.

We’ve got too far from reality…

Ah, if only automatic rifles could never be given out in 3x9 format . . .

Perhaps now this game would look like something about World War II.

I think automatic rifles were too niche of a firearm to justify being the meta of this game. They only became the new standard issue firearm for most countries during the Cold War and even then it was only for a short while before Assault rifles took over.

You don’t see Assault rifles being handed out to everyone. I think maybe they should be moved to Assault

Japan. We must get freakier

Or like light machine guns. Also, auto rifles are a fairly rare and exotic weapon that would make a great Battle Pass reward.

But if it’s fun and balanced, wouldn’t it be okay? (Because, in the end, the essence is the game, so these are the top priorities.)
In fact, the balance was created by Nazi’s FG42 and Tiger 2H.
BR5 wouldn’t be paper and imaginary BR if these hadn’t come out.

Yes, the culprit is Nazi, who deals purely with what’s actually used against a faction that has to unfold its paper and imagination like that.

What a tremendous over-technology this is.

I’ll never understand the constant obsession over SFs, prototypes and vehicles in BRV it’s where they are the most contained and powerful and even in the tech tree (with minor exceptions)… everything’s powerful! MGs, assault rifles, Even the SMGs and snipers!

You are only in 5 given the luxury of having a full 7 or even 9 man squad of automatic weapons… and that’s a show of the place you are in a fast paced high power environment… compare it to br2 you have guys with bolts or semis at the most maybe throwing a few annoying grenades.

Rifles may be a better all rounder but that’s exactly what the riflemen squad is it’s a boring meta class purely for aggressive counter attacking players… countered heavily by the opposite… carefully curated squads that are thought out with tactics and positioning that don’t boil down to holding down w and aiming.

You can compete against rifleman squads by not playing like a monkey or a chicken with its head cut off by holding a position on them… it will cut his call of duty ass down… it’s much easier for an mg 42 100 to kill a squad then a auto rifle… given the time you usually have with engagements which is around a second or two before you’re gunned at or downed by auto fire not just from rifles.

Depends on the definition of “fun”.

For me personally “fun” in WW2 games is driven by immersion and atmosphere.

Stuff like Reddit user’s fantasy tank and Chinese boys in Moscow ruin it, thus making the experience not fun.

I doubt it.
I think it’s funny.
To be honest, as BR goes up, the firepower has to increase.
It may be a little hard, but the overwhelmingly powerful firepower is just as fun.
It’s loose at low BR, but everything happens very quickly at BR5.
I think it’s a difference whether adapt to it or not.

I never said the firepower doesn’t have to increase.

I’m saying to me personally “funnies”, prototypes and origami tanks belong to Wolfenstein, not WW2 games.

That’s why

Fun is important, but it’s meaningless if the balance to support it is broken.
This is basically a PVP game.
That’s why developers have only made the choices they have to make for the life of the game.

Well as for me, balance is meaningless if it’s achieved through items that break the fundamental reasons why I chose the game to have fun in the first place.

How necessary were Chinese boys at Stalingrad and Tunisia for the life of the game?

Don’t we already know the consequences of that?
The game was dead before it was merged.
That’s why I know, and there’s no way you don’t know.
Don’t turn a blind eye to the truth.

I never said separate campaigns, queues and progression trees were healthy for the game.

At the same time, the game definitely didn’t need Ho-Ri from 2017 or Chinese boys ar Rzhev to become “undead”.

But you know it’s much better now than it was then.

In some ways it’s better, in others it’s worse.

Some things were definitely detrimental and only made the game worse such as Ho Ri 2017 or Su-9 1946, and were not needed at all.

I doubt it.
Ho-Ri and Su-9 inevitably exist.
If Su-9 didn’t come out, USSR’s Air would have failed without any way,
In the case of Ho-Ri, it’s very powerful, but… this is the fault of the developer who didn’t add the M9A1 T59 (230mm Pen) and T-44-100.
And it’s not just about Ho-Ri anymore, it’s also about Ferdinand.
